Sickness

Does anyone else have morning sickness all day? I have recently started eating very small portions waiting for them to digest and then drinking a liquid about an hour later... I had to leave work early the other day and I called in today. I had to admit myself into the hospital the other day for dehydration because I could not keep anything down at all for 2 days...I think I was just over eating and not letting my body adjust. But they wrote me a prescription for ondansetron. They don't tell you about this part during pregnancy... Any extra advice that will help? I can't afford to keep missing work.

I was having the same issues and my doc told me to start with the B6/unisom combination. 25mg of vitamin b6 every four hours and I take the unisom pill and quarter it and take it with the b6. The unisom makes you sleepy but if you quarter it instead of just half it, it's easier to handle. It's worked like a charm so far!

My morning sickness is very rough right now. I find that not drinking plain water helps. I was drinking Gatorade but because of the sucrose I'm switching to vitamin water. For some reason water comes right back up. Also, peppermint tea with a little honey is an absolute lifesaver. I read that Ginger Altoids work wonders and they would be easy to take to work. My prenatal vitamin has a ton of b vitamins and I always feel better after taking those.
