I paid to find out early I was 14w and 6d the tech said boy but I think girl, what do y'all think???

This is the blurriest picture ever, also no one here knows how to read a sonogram ( well a few might) Can I ask you why would you pay to have an ultrasound and then disagree with what the trained professional said? Looks like you've wasted your money.

I just didn't think boys had 2 penises.. And I read the other parts don't develop until 16 weeks..

I think that's a really unclear, blurry image and based just on that I wouldn't start buying gender-specific clothing yet. You'll probably find out for sure at your anatomy scan in a few weeks. This is why paying for this kind of thing at such an early stage is pretty silly.

Some of them do. The two I've gone to in the past were both medically trained. One girl even worked for a high risk specialist. Just depends on where you go.

I would love to know the sexes of my babies before xmas too, as I'm sure a lot of women on this board would. If the tech guessed a boy I would go ahead and assume it's a boy but I wouldn't go shopping or anything yet. No one is being mean to you, there is no need to take anything personally but you should have expected the exact responses you've gotten. These kinds of posts are getting very predictable.

So, you don't think boys have 2 penises, but you think girls do? I wouldn't even attempt sex until 16 weeks. Don't think you will know for sure until your next ultrasound. Also, was your tech licensed or just someone at an ultrasound boutique?

Wait.... what????? If you "read that the other parts don't develop until 16 weeks", then why on earth did you have your elective ultasound at 14W 6D??? Why not wait until 16 weeks???

Not necessarily true. The place I went to last pregnancy used licensed techs (that worked in doctors offices during most of the day) & the place I was looking into for this pregnancy does also. Though if this place does sex determination scans before 16 weeks, I'd question the qualifications of the tech.

On to the kid, my girl had 3 distinct lines & I don't see that in your scan, OP. My guess would be boy for you, that looks like a shot of 2 testicles not dos peens. If you don't want to believe the tech, don't. Looks like you might have to deal with the disappointment of not knowing for sure for Christmas.

If you're just gonna throw away money... Come on over.. Ill find an US machine, hook ya up and tell you what you wanna hear.. Then maybe getting on and posting the same thing for the second time in a week wont be so necessary for you to fish for "OMG Yes! I totally see a vagina in all of that blurriness!! That tech was an idiot! Go Team Pink!!" Smh. Im with @poohbearlove123‌ ... if you think the "other parts" dont develop til later.. why bother doing an elective so early?

I would seriously doubt than any actual US techs would give readings over the internet. The liability should be enough to dissuade them. I know we have doctors on this board, and attorneys. Neither would ever give medical or legal advice on an internet forum.

I was wondering, were you hoping for a girl? As my cousin wanted a girl and convinced herself it was a girl -even going as far as to buy girl items. Then she got an ultrasound at 20weeks and... Definitely a boy! She was still holding on to the chance of baby being a girl, even though the people who went with her seen a very clear winkle! My point is perhaps if you were craving a girl it is clouding your judgment? May not apply to you, but just thought I'd share that with you☺

Have you gotten a second opinion yet? I really want to know the outcome.. What about other potty shot pictures.. Do they all look like this? I too went to an early elective that I paid for at 15 weeks 1 day and mine was a boy, but I don't think our pictures look alike.. Who knows that maybe he/she was moving and making the picture look funny .. Anyway keep updated and let us know the outcome! Also here's my pic!

There's a whole post about 'baby's gender' full of ultrasound pictures.. This post also states that tech says boy and she thinks girl.. Whyyyyy oh why would you click on it if you don't like to see these things.. I hate seeing all this fights on here so I'm not even going to partake in this anymore.. I was replying to the original poster.. If this offends you, you're more than entitled to your opinion, but don't look at it if you don't like it

This is exactly why I will wait until 20 weeks and get a definite answer. Looks more boy than girl to me because my girl had 3 distinct lines but hard to tell when it's still so early. But I am not a professional!
