I've never met a Willow (and I work with children) but it seems to be steadily growing in popularly. I really don't want a name that's "trendy." What do you guys think? My husband and MIL really like it.
I know three women that wanted to name their daughters Willow in my very small town of less than 1,000 people. One of them did, the second one changed her mind because she knew that her daughter would be in the same class as the other little Willow, and the third ended up with a boy. However this leads me to think that Willow might become trendy soon. I do really love the name though. I always think of the movie Willow first.

DH and I tend to gravitate toward nature-y names and I automatically picture the tree when thinking of Willow. I think it's beautiful. I haven't met any Willows yet, but it wouldn't surprise me if it does become trendy.
I've known 2 people to name their girl Willow in the last couple years, one was just a couple months ago. I think it could definitely end up being trendy but right now I think it's still a safe non trendy name. I also like Willa as others suggested.

Precious baby boy "HC" born May 2013.
Willa is an option!
Also- Wilhelmina is a family name. I have a soft spot for it- but she went by Minnie
"Even miracles take a little time"
I love it.
However, I'm the type who would rebel against it just because my H and MIL were pushing for it
