I see so many of you dressing your LOs in cute Christmas/dressier outfits... Where do you get them (particularly for boys - they seem much harder to find)? Maybe I'm looking in the wrong stores?
We got two little dressy outfits for Giovanni. One from jc penneys and one from target. Good luck! I had a heck of a time. All I could find was little girls dresses!

I found some at carters and there are a few cute ones at the children's place also some stores in my local town have Christmas onesies.
Talons onesie in the picture is from carters. It says I ate all of Santa's cookies
@smboswell1 You can start with 1mL and give another if symptoms haven't calmed. ...and good luck "climbing that Mountain"
My random: I've been freaking out about not having enough saved to cover the unpaid time of my maternity leave, even though I was pretty sure I budgeted better than that. Well, upon closer inspection I noticed that I hadn't written down my last deposit --- an entire pay check! Duh.
I managed to get out of the house on time even though LO threw up everywhere as I was putting him in his car seat. Only to realize my apt isn't for another hour. So I'm just sitting in the waiting room
@dmo1371 Hannah Anderson has cotton Christmas sleepers, I do have to warn you the sleepers on sale are $28. DD also sweats uncontrollably in fleece and sleeps in cotton sleepers to counter act her insane body heat.
Alistair will be starting daycare three times a week in the new year. Yesterday he went in for part of the day to "practice." He did really well, but was so overtired when we got home that he cried for the better part of an hour and then passed out while nursing. I may need to get on them about forcing him to take naps... they won't swaddle so I think that's making it tough for him to get to sleep.
On the bright side, once he did fall asleep, he slept from 6:45-2:45... uh, what?!?! Then, back down until 4:30 and 7. This is the first day I've slept past 5:45 since we brought him home from the hospital!

I always shop at Kohls for clothes for all of my kids; I'm not sure what they have as far as baby boy holiday outfits, but they had some adorable girl stuff. I also got matching Christmas jammies for all four of my kids from there, and I'm really excited to see them all together.
I'm happy your sister is finally home @smboswell1
Louie was wide awake from 2:30-4:30 this morning. What makes it worse is that he sleep in until I got him up at 8:45, but Gabby woke up at 7 as usual. I'm so tired, and I'm supposed to have lunch with a friend today. I'd cancel, but I get so little adult interaction that I really need this lunch!
And I'm pretty sure he was so awake because I changed his diaper, which I thought was poopy. Nope -- just wet!
And @SarahMaureenF try going up a diaper size at night if your guy pees a lot. It may buy you a no change!
My LO is doing an "eat 20 minutes, sleep 20 minutes, repeat" marathon today. I just had to put her down and let her scream just so I could finally go pee. The "sleep" parts of this marathon only work if I'm holding her. The minute she lands in her bassinet or swing she loses her shit. She's also started fake sucking just so I am holding her, I swear. Is this a thing? She seriously acts like she's starving even though she ate 20 minutes ago then has shallow sucks till she passes out in my arms. Mama is tired!
Thank you so much for the birthday wishes! I'm seeing my obgyn in Monday to discuss my anxiety. Then I am meeting with potential sitter on Tuesday. What kinds of questions did you ladies ask your sitter when interviewing them?
Sometimes people really piss me off. My mom texted me to ask if she could come over I said sure. One person doesn't bother me. Then she brings my brother and my MIL. They are all taking turns holding him and he takes a crap and MIL is like let's give you to your mom so you can get clean. Right next to her is diapers a changing pad and wipes. So I'm like why can't yall do it? And my mom is like oh I was about to. Oh yeah? Sure seemed like it. Then while I'm getting him clean my mom is refolding my folded clothes. Just no. Luckily they took hint of my bad mood and left. I was actually in a decent one til they got here ~X(
@oklahomamom09 - DS is 2 years 4 months old. My mom has changed him exactly 1 time ever that I can remember. On the flip side, my MIL always volunteers to change diapers, to the point I feel kind of guilty when we visit that she changes so many.
Do you all remember those old commercials with the worlds catchiest jingles? "I need a vacation, gotta get away. I need a sil-ver-wings holiday!!" You may not get a full vacation today, @silverwings72, but a massage (or a nap) would be a good birthday treat!
@bethas all of your problems are solved. Just drop D off with me each morning. He and A can have play dates together. You can sleep on the red-eye flight each night.

I can't imagine having 2 really little ones @kuincbus. Ds1 is almost 3.5 and I'm thankful he's more self sufficient. You can do it though!
For the most part DH is great, but it drives me crazy when he's been holding or taking care of LO and when I come back he says "I think he pooped." I want to scream, "well, change him then."
So I have a sunken chest so in between my boobs there's a hole (not huge or anything) but it's big enough to create a small looking bowl. Well I am laying on the recliner with LO on my chest.. He's spit up directly down my shirt twice in the past hour lol kiddo has good aim I guess
Ugh, so how does coming home early to spend time with your family count when you do a 15 minute walk with us (baby and pups) and then plop in front of your computer and start a live game without asking? You have the next 9 days off, if this is how it's going to go... I don't even want to think about it.

At least you got a 15 min walk. Mine plops down as soon as he gets home and will only hold LO if he's sleeping or content. The second he starts crying he brings him to me.
I'm hoping world of warcraft's server goes down sometime soon
@oklahomamom09 Make that Blizzards servers and I'll try some crazy "server downing" dance to make it happen! The walk was a rare treat because normally when DH gets home it's "too cold". I've run a 5k in single digit weather, negative with wind chill at times. 20-40 degrees is doable. I will say though he does love his time with Jackson and he is SLOWLY getting better about trying to soothe LO if he isn't showing hunger signs.
Whenever I'm feeling overwhelmed I think of an acquaintance of mine. She and her husband planned on have 2 close together, wait a few years, then have 2 more. They has the first 2, then she accidentally got pregnant right away. So, 3 boys under 3... And they decided to try for #4 right off to just get it out of the way... Twin girls. So she has 5 under 5, and she just blows my mind. Awesome mama.

I had no idea it was possible for a baby to eat this much, I barely have time to burp LO before he is screaming to eat again! 6 Week growth spurt sucks! How long does this last?

Big hugs. Mine has been eating or 48 hours straight. I'm exhausted. And DH is out having fun. Grr. I'd be happy to fold a load of laundrty without the baby losing her shit at this point.
I spent the day finishing my Christmas shopping yesterday. I discovered DS' s tolerance for shopping. 3 hours seems to be the max. I successfully nursed him in another setting besides at home or my parent 's house. I had only planned on an hour max but my Grandma spent 2 hours in JCP alone. She bought all 5 grandkids 4 outfits each. She also wanted DS to meet Santa. His reaction was priceless. I just have to AW it. We are both feeling better now.
