    @saltyfins‌ My midwife specifically told me to eat protein and not to fast for my one hour gtt. I had an appt with her right before going to the lab and she asked me if I ate or I would have to do it another day. Not sure why some doctors want you to fast and others don't for the one hour.

    No my doctor specifically told me to eat breakfast. She laughed and said not to eat a donut or something like that but emphasized that I should eat something.

    My doctor didn't say anything.  I have to get it done tomorrow at a lab and just googled if I can eat (google said yes).  So I'm just going with that.

    @saltyfins, I fasted for my 1 hr because the logic in my mind said if I fast, maybe I'll have a better chance at passing the test. (I failed with DD1, and had eaten breakfast that day, so I thought this would be better). When I got the call that I failed the 1 hr, I told my midwife I had fasted and she told me that fasting actually messes with the results of the 1 hour test. So....yeah.

    I was specifically told not to eat or drink anything after midnight the night before mine. I was told I could have water, but also that I shouldn't add ice to the glucola because it would water it down and could mess up the test, so I figured drinking water at all once I started the glucola was a bad idea...so... yeah... I was on the starving boat with you.

    I was told to fast. My OB said that if I HAD to eat something it should be a piece of dry toast.

    Took my 5 year old in to the dr today for a followup apointment for his bloodwork ans urine sample last week. I picked him up from school and noticed his cheeks were super red and he felt warm, but he was acting just fine. We got to the dr and he had a fever. Dr gave him an exam and he has an ear infection. She decided to do a flu swab since he came in with fever and sure enough he tested positive for the flu. He'll be starting his Christmas break early home sick in bed. He's sad because his Christmas party is tomorrow and he will miss it. I have to pick up his tamiflu and hopefully get him better before Christmas. Crossing my fingers neither my fiancé or I get it

    @goofygoff‌ I've been getting those kicks too and they are a bit jarring.

    We took the day off to do some Christmas shopping and take DD to Disneyland. Well she has a cold so we couldn't go to Disney after all. She's pretty miserable and I feel so bad. I'm just hoping she's better by Christmas.

    Thank you ladies! I'm hoping to get him better soon and glad we caught it early.

    @janda426‌ yes, thankfully I got my shot in October so I'm hoping that will keep me from getting it.

    Im at the doctors waiting to be seen. I had an appt in the morning at 10:30, you know youre sick when you cant wait 12 hours, ugh. My common cold went from annoying to feeling like I ran into a brick wall, and then another brick wall came up and made a ruemorgan sandwich, in about 3 hours. Im done, I just needed to bitch. I hope they can do something.

    PSA: the RhoGAM shot feels exactly like a yellow jacket/hornet sting (not the needle, the shot itself). Not what I was expecting.

    I am exhausted. Can barely keep my eyes open.

    My MIL is coming into town tonight and I spent all day cleaning our house. Last time she came to visit, she rearranged all my kitchen drawers, recleaned my bathroom and said I needed to do a better job vacuuming her room. I usually never complain when someone wants to clean for me...but this is different.

    Please let me survive this next week with her. I anticipate a fit from her when H and I tell her we're not choosing a name for LO until we meet her.

    Thanks guys, im finally home. Dr said its a sinus infection and double ear infection, im glad I could start medicine tonight.
