@belmont1785‌ - I have left LO with DH a couple of times for 4-5 hours. It was a nice mental break. Haven't done it since Thanksgiving b/c he is back at work.

When I even think about going back to work, I get emotional and tear up. I am dreading it so much. I have a month left, but I just don't know if I can do it. I have no choice though Thankfully I am very fortunate that she will be going to a family members house while I am at work and not daycare but that just actually makes me jealous that they get to spend more time with her than me, her own mother.

I just left to go to the stupid dentist! I'm feeling pretty anxious.

@targetpopcornmomma‌ It went really well. I made everything myself. It was cute but a lot of work. She was in her full Doc outfit. We dressed LO like lambie.

K has the check up center and the mobile clinic. She is a Doc addict.

Just got a card for the baby from her GPs, signed MaMa & PaPa. That irks the shit out of me! Am I being ridiculous?
Granted, we have boundary issues to begin with, but I just don't get how that signifies grandparents when it's spelled the same as what they sign for their kids' cards. WTF?

Dr appointment went well, we decided on nexplanon for birth control in 5 weeks.. Hopefully that doesn't mean I have to wait 5 more weeks to have sex lol I don't think my FI will go for that, but at least I'll be protected for 3 years

Just had a terrible experience and I need to vent. I went to a Christmas party for a networking group I belonged to for work. I brought LO and he was a little celebrity and all was well. On the way home I was driving down a street and almost got t-boned! They had a stop sign and I didn't and I had to swerve so they wouldn't hit us. I was in such shock I started sobbing and of course I was still 15 minutes from home and got stuck behind a train and there was a detour due to construction so it took me longer than usual. I got in the house and just lost it, poor DH.

Thanks, I make invitations and cards as a hobby and love this kind of stuff. I totally invision the invite being blue with white snow piles along the bottom, a cow girl (on one side) lassoing snowflakes the rope would be the border and snow flakes at the top opposite corner of girl.

I can't wait to plan DD's birthday party's and do all the decorations. I've helped friends with their kids but way more excited to do my own.

Managed to take LO out and get all of my Christmas shopping done!!! She was so good while we were out and then lost it as we were pulling into the neighborhood..good girl! So happy that I got all that done. Man I love her.

PSA: be careful leaving your LO in an unlocked running car at a gas station. We just had breaking news of a car theft with a 20 day old in the back seat. Mom went in to pay and the car was stolen with baby in the back seat. Makes me sick thinking about it.

@AnnieRoo13 I'm so glad you are okay. It would be frightening to have LO in the car and have that happen.

Had my PP check a week early because of it being Christmas next week and my Dr. is out of town. DH came with and when the Dr. said I could resume normal activities starting Tuesday when I'm officially 6 weeks and DH blurts out "Ugh its like the Groundhog saw his shadow and I have 8 more weeks of winter left" @-)

Me too! Except it's one of DH's button downs, any my boob is probably hanging out.

After the new low we reached last night with L's screaming, DH still went to his work Christmas party and is still out. I feel like I'm being very understanding but I am ready for him to come home. It started at 5 or 6 (I can't remember) and it's 10:30 now. The baby is sleeping but I'm tempted to guilt trip him when he finally does get home and exaggerate how she did tonight.

@KUinCBUS‌ - big hugs to you! I think you need more time to yourself. I love my husband but I would go crazy if I had to work with him as well. I am a big believer in having space to recharge. You have to make the time, Mama or one day one little thing will set you off.

You are a rock star mother and wife, i know you will find a way. Sometimes change is a life saver- even though it is kind of scary. big hugs!
