Contractions started around 9pm last night and She was able to rest between them during the night and some of today. They are about 5-6 minutes apart now and she and her H are laborious at home for a bit longer before going to the birthing center. though I can tell they are getting stronger.
Please send lots of t&p to her and her family. So excited to "meet" baby Carlson!!!
Update #1 - she's on her way to the birthing center for a check. Contractions are about 3 minutes apart and 1 minute long. Sending lots of t&p and strong mama vibes to our pal!
Update #2 - she's 1cm. She got something help with the pain of the contractions and she and her H are home to labor some more. Keep her in your t&p for continued progress and a smooth L&D. (((hugs))) mama!
Update #3 - Shes at the hospital and got some pain meds and says "it was awesome." She was able to get some rest but am up now and walking through Ctx. Epidural is coming once shes more dilated - at a 3 an hour ago. They have her on a machine that allows her to labor in the tub rather than in the bed but still have an eye on Baby Carlson. Slow and steady labor but making some good progress. Good job mama!!
Update #4 - she's at 4cm and has her epidural. Water is broken and she's got a pitocin drip going. labor continues to be slow but steady. She's getting some rest - yay! - and Getting closer all the time to meeting her little man
Update #5 - He's here! Baby Carlson was born via c section at 8:33 Pacific time. He is 7.5 lbs and 20.5 in long. Mama is doing great and in recovery, Daddy is with him in the nursery. Mom and baby are great.
