First of all, hugs. I have placenta previa too so I understand your concern.
Second, you shouldn't be getting any internal exams with placenta previa. This can cause more bleeding. I could be concerned if your Doctor isn't aware of this.

Sorry you're going through this. I hope you have someone helping you with your toddler so you don't end up overexerting yourself. Hoping everything goes smoothly from here on out!

Fortunately I have a high risk doctor so I completely trust her, they do a "visual" internal exam so nothing is going far inside of me just a speculum so they can take a look
Here's to hoping our placentas move I never realized how much lifting I do on a daily bases its going to be a hard few months ahead.
My hubby works 14 hours a day on average 15 days on 5 days off so he's not a whole lot of help and all our family lives on he other side of the country so my house will most likely be a pigstye for the next three and a half month lol
Well I had another go tonight with the bleeding except this time it was a lot of fresh blood. I'm back at the hospital and they have admitted me for the night. The bleeding seems to have stopped and they gave me a shot of steroids for the baby's lungs just in case. I'm praying the bleeding doesn't come back and I can go home tomorrow.
@canadianttc1st I'm so sorry you are going through this! FXed and T&Ps. I'm glad you didn't have to get admitted and I'm praying that your baby stays put as long as possible.
@canadianttc1st I'm so sorry you're dealing with this roller coaster. I'm currently in the hospital too for bleeding with previa. Hearing them say that the baby is viable at 24 weeks and having them start to prep with the steroids and such is really scary.
I'm hoping the bleeding stops (so sorry if returned!) and they can keep it gone for you to go home. Is it possible the blessings from the internal, even though it wasn't deep?
I think I read that you already have another LO? Are you a SAHM? If so, I know you said family's far away and you prob don't have a daycare or babysitter you use, but if they do let you home, you may want to be thinking how you can be getting help with your LO and basic household things so you can truly rest. When friends offer to help, you may want to take them up on it!
**Edit because after submitting I couldn't remember if I made up that you already have a little one or not.
Happy to see this update. Hope everything stays status quo and that little bundle is able to stay put and grow for as long as possible!
ETA: I missed the update within the update... I am so sorry you are back in the hospital. Hoepfully they get it under control quickly and you can go home soon. Any update this morning?
@canadianttc1st Are there anymore updates? Are they going to let you go home today?
Unfortunately they aren't letting me go home today although I haven't had anymore bleeding so I'm praying to go home tomorrow. I really hate hospitals.
I know I'm going to be on bed rest when I get home so I have no idea how we are going to manage that. I guess we will take it day by day.
Thank you so much ladies for all your kind words I truly appreciate it. I have been such an emotional wreck.
@canadianttc1st please keep us posted! We're keeping FX that you get to go home soon and that you get the support you need to stay on bed rest. I'm glad the doctors are doing what they can to plan ahead in case your LO comes early (steroids shots), but I would still rather LO just stay put until he/she is bigger and stronger.
Thanks ladies. Looks like my placenta has detached a little on one side so they are going to keep me here till Monday.
Hubby has taken some time off work to stay home with ds which takes a lot of stress off. I'm just praying that everything stays good for the rest of the pregnancy.
I'm going to have to learn to let the housework go and take it easy till the end and hopefully we can make it till full term. They won't deliver babies in my town until 32 weeks before that they will send me to the closest place that will if it turns out that way which is 4.5 hours away. I'm having a hard enough time being five minutes from home I don't know what we will do if I need to be that far from home for months on end. Right now I just need to stay positive that it won't come to that.
Also for any ladies that have been through this how did you handle being stuck in the hospital? I'm having such a hard time emotionally dealing with this being stranded in a room all alone away from my son and husband.
I'm usually with ds 24/7 so seeing him only a couple hours a day is killing me inside. I keep telling myself it's for the best and I need to take care of this new lo but it's so hard.
So sorry you're having to stay in the hospital. I have never been admitted to a hospital, so I have no wisdom to share. I can only imagine how difficult it must be to be away from your family. Hopefully Monday arrives with positive news (hugs).
I was in hospital for almost a week following complications from a surgery, the only thing I can suggest is a couple good books to keep yourself occupied during non visiting hours and to make sure you have your phone charger. And I just realized that today is now Monday, so hopefully you get some good news and can go home later today
