They're coming and there are a lot of us. I imagine the board will get bogged quickly with everyone posting their own threads with similar "congrats" replies, so I thought we may be able to add to a 1st u/s thread. What say ye? Those who have already gone, will you post your pics here? My first appt isn't until Thur, so I don't have anything to add to this yet.

Not the best ultrasound I've had, but their was a heartbeat and that's all I cared about at the moment. Yay bean!

I had mine this morning. Picture is super fuzzy, but string heart beat at 138 bpm. I measured at 7weeks 1 day, just like I calculated (based on charting), but they are insisting on using lmp which makes me 7 weeks 6 days. The doctor agreed we should change it, but no amount of reasoning would change the nurses mind. "We go by lmp" was all she would say.

Yeah I figure I will try and get them to change it at my next apt...maybe a different nurse. I just made sure my calender was full for the 13 week scan until I am actually 13 weeks and not 12.

Had my ultrasound today. Was measuring 6w6d (was 7 weeks by LMP but 6&6 makes sense). Heart rate was 118 BPM which is scaring me because it seems a little low.

I had an ultrasound today but apparently I'm earlier than I thought, only about 5ish weeks and all they could see was the gestational sac. So I'll get a real pic when I go back in 2 weeks!

We just got back from our appointment. We are 3.4 mm long and our heartbeat is 123. I am 6 weeks

First appointment today! They said no ultrasound until second trimester. I threw a hissy/crying fit and they gave me an ultrasound. Poor doctor :0) I went through quite a bit trying to conceive and really would be happy to pay out of pocket for the peace of mind. Anywho, we can see the heartbeat! 7w1d and 142 BMP! Hopefully that's not too high!

I was 6 weeks 2 days at my ultrasound at we saw the HB of 116 (a little low but she said no need to worry probably only started the day before). I have another scheduled for Christmas Eve because of a prior MC and I will be 8 weeks 5 days. Here's my little one!!

@queenb+ my doctor said not to be worried that it's still a strong HB. Fingers crossed for yours and mine!!

I had my first u/s yesterday at 6w2d. Baby measured at 6w3d, and had a heartbeat of 116. I am told this is normal for being this early. We got to see the hb flicker on the screen, and apparently it is snuggled in to a perfect spot in my ute.

My next appt is on the 29th, and then I should graduate to my OB if all is well!

i had my first last Thursday and my pic is so hilariously blurry. the tech drew two dots for us and labeled it "BABY" otherwise I would have no clue.

I measured 6w on thursday so today I am 6w5d and we saw a strong heartbeat of 128 bpm!

I have my ultrasound on Friday!! Based off of my LMP I will be 7w5d and I pray to see that everything is on track, & to see a strong heartbeat! I had a miscarriage in September so I'm quite nervous, but I'm hoping to be post a US pic!! Congrats to you ladies, nothing more comforting than seeing that little flicker!!!!

These pics are cute. I only got one ultrasound with my first baby at 20 weeks. I never got to see him as a little bean. However, miscarried in between so I do get an ultrasound this Friday. Looking forward to seeing that everything is ok.

I had an ultrasound yesterday due to bleeding and cramping. They measured me at 6w1d heart beat was at 94 which Is on the lower side. Will go in on Monday for a follow up ultrasound. Here's to hoping it gets stronger!

love all the pics! Question..when do they measure the BPM of the heart rate? We saw our babies (yes, twins) heartbeats last week at 6w3d but they didn't give us a BPM. I know that's important so I was wondering? I'm a FTM btw so I'm not experienced with all this! Thank you!

I had my first ultrasound yesterday, measuring 6wks 0 days. Dr. was not able to detect a heartbeat but felt it was too early. I have my next appt in 2 weeks and he said that we would be able to see then.

The picture is an indistinguishable blob which I adore :-)

Waiting on my second U/S Thursday. Hoping to graduate from the RE with a heartbeat over 120. We saw the heartbeat last week, but it was too early to hear it on U/S

honestly I'm not sure our tech would have shown us the heartbeat if we didn't ask. she was awesome. in my past experience the techs don't generally talk to you, but my only real ultrasound before was not good. so maybe since this one was good she was more willing.

anyway, she blew it WAY up and showed us what the sound waves looked like. then she made an estimate. today i looked at my lab records and read that the radiologist put us at 128bpm. do you have a way to access your records?

@kath16‌ Thanks for the Reply. We are currently seeing a fertility doctor so I would think they would want to record the BPM. I don't have any access to my records with them. Their monitor isn't the best, but we did at least get to see the HB. I'll ask about it at my appointment Thursday.

My tech turned up the volume and we could hear it. She said it was 169 bpm. I'm not sure if it's written down anywhere on the print out, though.

I just had my us yesterday and the little guy measured at 6w4d wich is 2 days behind what I thought. We were able to see a heartbeat, 147bmp! This mobile app isn't letting me attach the photo but I'll try again at home.

I haven't had my first "official" ultrasound, but I am a sonographer. One of my coworkers scanned me last week and was able to see the sac. I had to promise DH after that I wouldn't let her look again before our first appointment!

)? how common is it to see the heartbeat at 6 weeks exactly? I was disappointed not to see at my first ultrasound but Dr. Didn't seem concerned. I'd love to hear from a pro. Thanks!
