I can't imagine telling Nancy she can't have any of her disgusting fruit snacks. She'd probably die from disappointment.

I buy the Annie's bunny ones. They taste like ick to me, but she loves them. She gets one every day on the way home from the sitter's. She calls them car fruits. :-)

willy- I would take as much time without Luci as possible. It'll be sad to be away from her, but at least you know she'll be well taken care of. You can focus on you and DH, and get some stuff done without her.

Marisa- I'd just do some light snacks. I hope the visit goes well.

smb- Great news about the job! \:D/

kelbel- You and your husband are so cute! I love your siggy pics. It was so sweet of him to rescue you!

THT- that neighbor sounds so annoying. I'd say something like "I tried to hint and let you know I wasn't interest, but I guess I didn't do it right. Thanks for thinking of me, but I'm really not interested."

I would just work with them as much as possible on substitutions where they will let you. Also, our current daycare didn't always have an awesome menu. 5ish years ago when Brody started it was awful. But parents voiced their opinions a lot and it changed.

Well, theoretically, I'd work as a CNA and do weekend package through nursing school, which would be stretched over the course of 2 years but I wouldn't have to go FT because I've already got a B.S so a lot of courses would carry over. Then I'd work as a nurse and do a RN to BSN, then work nursing while I did an online ARNP program.
Man you have drive! I can't even get myself to study for my last registry test to add a credential. In my state, nurses start out at $18-20/hr. We start out at $25. PRNs for nursing and ultrasound both make $35. Full time for both max out around $35. PRN for ultrasound maxes out around $50. And I know contract nurses can make $40-50. So they are pretty similar besides starting pay. I just know I don't have to deal with half the stuff nurses do. But there is much more advancement for nurses. I do know a few PAs that went through sonography to get to PA school, but the only advancement in the same field is to be a department supervisor.

You guys are scaring me with all of this school talk. Seeing possible pay numbers makes me happy, though. I can't wait to get a paycheck again.

@Pokedot I'm sure it could be different, but both boys were recently on antibiotics for ear infections. They only had to take them for 7 days. I'd call and ask.

I really am mean. I get so annoyed so easily, and I have a really short temper. I hate those things about myself. It's easier to not be like that on here because I can kind of walk away/ignore things. I'm a bumpie that gets easily butthurt and emotional about what goes on on here.

The stuff today, I kept trying to leave it alone, but I couldn't. :-S

There are always going to be some posters that get under our skin, we can't always all get along. I am sure I have annoyed people on here before, but I keep coming back anyway. You ladies are stuck with me.

I got pizza from Pizza Hut. DH hates pizza hut, so we usually never get it. I got the pizza with the white garlic sauce, chicken, bacon, roma tomatoes, and parmesan crust. Oh my goodness. I think I might eat the whole thing :@)

My crazy ass exBF works at our Pizza Hut as a delivery driver. I dodged a bullet with this one. I'm sad I can't order from there. I don't want him knowing where I live. He's a psycho. But that pizza sounds amazing!

Stop it! I'm hungry and the guy I rode to this office with left me to do deliveries and I am positive that he won't think about feeding me when he feeds himself. But that does sound amazing and I really want it now!

@melody921 I tried to make that bark that you posted last week..... I couldn't get the caramel sauce to harden! It was so disappointing but dang it did taste good! Did you have any trouble with it? I wondered if I didn't let the sauce cook enough in the sauce pan...

@willy_gert, I left it in the pot until it was starting to bubble and thicken. Then I poured it in the pan and topped with chocolate. It didn't harden for me until after it was in the freezer for the two hours. Also, the recipe doesn't specify, but I think it tastes better if it's cold, so I'd store it in the fridge.

December 30th is his surgery. I could bring Luci home with me from the weekend and she could have two days of normalcy before either having to go with my mom if DH is in the hospital or being home with me and DH for a day or two because daycare is closed. I just don't know what to do. I'm sure she would be fine, but it just seems like such a long time.

You've got a lot going on. I'd take as much help as I can get. Is there a reason she wants to get her on Christmas? What about bringing her to your Mom's over the weekend, spending sometime there together and then leaving her through DH's surgery? That still gives you some time home with out her for a day before the surgery?

Do whatever makes you feel comfortable, you don't want to be stressing about her and your DH at the same time. But kids are adaptable, and I am sure she'll love a grandparent getaway.

It originally all started because our daycare decided to take an extra day this Christmas, so they are closed on the 26th, DH has dialysis and I absolutely have to work. If I didn't it wouldn't be a big deal. DH is working from 7a on Christmas to 7a on the 26th, so it is just me and Luci.

I know I am thinking way to hard about this, but I've never left her for more than a night and anytime I have left her, we have been in the same town, not three and a half hours away.... Ugh, I'm such a worry wart!

I would probably do what you are planning. Meet up with your mom half way and then head up on Friday after work to spend the weekend together and leave her there until after the surgery.

You trust your mom, right? It's your MIL that has the problems? If you are only worried about missing her, that is totally normal but take the help!

So, DH got a new job yesterday, and as happy and excited as I am for him to be making more money/moving up I'm not looking forward to the changes it is already bringing. He got the job at 10am yesterday came home and told me he needs to go to three states in the first two weeks of January and 3 weeks in Asia by the end of February.

Also my 2 year old has been crying ALL day she can't tell me what's wrong, so I gave her meds she's still crying and all I want to do is take a nap.

I'm sure it just happened so quick that your brain didn't process it in time, but I'm picturing your car lighting up and beeping and you just ignoring it. That's why it's funny. In real life, it was probalby not nearly as amusing.

Oof that's rough. Will he always have to be traveling a lot, or just a couple months a year?
