Shower invites

DBF and I broke up on the day I was supposed to get all my shower addresses to my aunt's so they can mail out invites. I have everything I need EXCEPT most of K's family's addresses. I still feel like they should be invited to the shower (I have made in very clear that they can be as involved in her life despite K not wanting to be), but I'm honestly not wanting to text his mother to grab all of their addresses. What do I do?

*note* DBF & I broke up last night so things are pretty awkward right now, though his mom *did* reach out to me.

I agree with this. She'll understand that you are having a rough a time with this but will appreciate that you still want his family to feel comfortable being involved in baby slaw's life. Lots of creepy internet hugs to you.

I'm so sorry to hear abt you & your DBF. I'd have your aunts do it. They can tell his mom that you wanted to make sure they are included in this baby's life but don't feel up to talking right now. I'm sure they will understand & want to be included.

I'm so sorry to hear about you and your DBF. I hope you surround yourself with friends and family to get through this big change! It is so admirable how nice you're Bing about including his family. I think you can handle it however you are most comfortable, but I'd probably let your aunt reach out. Surely everyone will appreciate that you are still including them regardless of how it's done.

So sorry to hear this. Although I don't know you personally from reading your posts it is obvious that you are a strong, confident and smart woman. You got this!! :-) Remember to be kind to yourself and treat yourself to a few extras to help keep your spirits up. I would have your aunt get the addresses to help make it less stressful for you.

I love that you still want to include his family, despite his misgivings about parenthood. If you don't feel ready to talk to his mom just yet, I think it is absolutely ok to ask your aunts contact his mom for you.

Thank you for all your support and advice, I did go ahead and just let my aunts handle it. DbF & I are taking steps to repair things, so hopefully all of this will just resolve itself.
