    I'm wide awake and feeling really bitchy already. Yesterday, my niece's mother called me to see if I would watch my niece today because she's "really sick." So sick, that her father (my BIL) sent her back to her mother's because he has a baby at home that he doesn't want to get sick. Now, this woman is pregnant herself and should know damn well that I am not willing to take the risk of getting sick. I know you can't avoid everything but I am certainly not going to knowingly put myself at risk... You are her mother, call out!! Not only that, but tomorrow is my one day off and I have stuff that I have to do, including an OB appointment. She then tried to make me feel guilty!! She then told me that she was going to call my MIL and have her take her for the day. So I pulled the bitch card and the pregnancy card all at once and had my husband call my MIL and tell her that she needed to be aware that if she had recently watched my niece while sick (this child is sick all the time and her mother always pawns her off) she won't be welcome at the hospital to visit because I am not wiling to put my infant at risk like that, knowingly. It was such a bitch move, and I know that, but I feel really strongly about it. My niece is ALWAYS sick with something and my MIL isn't the best at disinfecting... She decided to take her for a few hours and try to hide it from us. However my niece's mother posts EVERYTHING on facebook.

    Excuse my rant, I had to get that out. I'm feeling bitchy and I know the cars I pulled was a bitch card but people don't think!!

    @CrazyMonkeyBear‌ - yay for the new job!!!

    I'm finishing up my shift, wondering how some of these people function in the real world. It's unreal how they behave here. I think I'm going to smash an asiago bagel with BLT and go straight to bed. Nothing too exciting in my world today!

    @CrazyMonkeyBear‌ Yes!! I am so mad about it! My H called her out on it and she continued to attempt to cover it up! I knew I was overreacting at first, but this was the icing on the cake! She hasn't taken her yet, she's taking her today. I'm incredibly upset at how dumb people can be.

    I hope your FI gets everything he needs in time! Overnighting it? Is his new job still in New England?

    Costco sells Einstein Asiago bagels. Pretty good!

    @elleswarth‌, an asiago bagel sounds so good!

    DS has a dentist appointment today (his first ever). I'm hoping he's good and doesn't have any problems. I usually reward him for peeing on the potty or get him to be quiet for haircuts and things by giving him candy, so hopefully that won't mean cavities!

    After the dentist, work, then grocery shopping. But first - I need breakfast! Baby boy #2 is kicking me and saying, "Feed me!"

    @9513, I have to take your side on this one especially if you're due in the next two weeks.  If I knew someone had been sick or been around anyone sick, I'd say the same thing.  No visit.  It's nothing personal.  It's about the safety of the baby.  So yeah, totally on your side.


    We're having a fine spring morning with some thunder and lightning in the Cincy area this morning. /:) But then possibility of snow on Saturday?

    I'm due in four weeks but baby is measuring big by FH and growth scan. I know both of these can be inaccurate but my MIL knows that today is the day we go in to discuss whether or not they are moving up my due date, which would make me due in two weeks. Even at that, this has become a weekly thing. My intentions were originally just to make her aware that we were putting down those ground rules to protect baby but then she really pissed me off by trying to cover it up!


    @CrazyMonkeyBear‌ 3 hours?! Are you thinking of relocating?

    Yah, I'd be more than a little ticked off if MIL or anyone was putting my health and babies health at risk and trying to hide it from me.  Some things are unavoidable, but this is not one of them.  Uggg, people.

    Todays plan is to wrap Christmas presents, we'll have to see how that actually pans out.  I'll probably be posting this same message until Christmas Eve.
    After 8 yrs of ttc little one is due Jan. 28

    Big brother is excited to meet this little one!

    I go in for my 37 week appointment today... last week I was about 30% effaced, hoping to see a little more progress this week. The last few days I have felt a lot more pressure down below so I feel like I am making more progress.

    Dd has a nasty cough and runny nose (all clear) but I'm worried that if baby shows up soon, she won't be allowed to visit, plus be sick when baby potentially comes home.

    The lid on my Tim Hortons smells chemically this morning.  I need the caffeine too much to complain, so I am simply stating this as a fact.

    DS has to go to a shoot about 1 1/2 hours away today and wont be home until after DS's bedtime.  I'm going to have one sad little man this evening.  Andplusalso, his work Christmas party is tomorrow night, so I will have a doubly sad little man tomorrow.

    Last night DS2's hands were so dry from the cold that they were bleeding.  Tell me why I have to fight the kid to wear gloves to school today…  >:/  My boys can be so stupid/stubborn sometimes.  Like little men.

    Morning! Today dd and I have preschool but it's super icy out and I don't want to go. But it's her last day before winter break so I feel like we have to. I'm glad we don't have too far to go because I hate driving in bad weather.

    Maybe I will treat myself to a peppermint mocha when it's over. :)

    Meeting with a pediatrician today to see if I'd like him to be LO's future doctor.

    Had bacon, egg, & cheese on an Asiago bagel yesterday. So good.

    So bloated this morning I don't have an appetite.

    Morning. I've been up for over 2 hours, but have been avoiding my phone in case I could go back to sleep. Now I've just given up. I have such a busy day, I'm hoping I can fit a nap in somewhere.

    DS scared the holy hell out of us this morning. He woke us up at 4:30am with the worst cough I've ever heard. He was having trouble breathing, was wheezing like crazy, and threw up so we just took him straight to the emergency room. Turns out he has croup! 

    He had a breathing treatment and an oral steroid and is doing fine now. He's actually eating goldfish crackers and watching Curious George like nothing happened. He even asked us for a doughnut on the way home(we obliged.) 

    Here's the killer, in the middle of his coughing fit my 2 1/2 year old looked at me and squeaked out "mom take me to doctor please." Holy shit! They do not put this crap in any of the baby books!

    Going to add I'm ticked at my SO for neglecting to tell me he didn't take our dog out & discovering I had to clean an accident. I texted him if I couldn't get back up that I was just gonna sit there. He texted back "ok". Such a butthead.

    @Jellybean707‌ must've been scary. I'm glad he's doing better.

    I don't have a 37 week appointment next week because my Dr. is off for the next 2 weeks. I'm grumpy about that. My 38 week appointment is with a Nurse Practitioner.

    Last night I slept in what can only be described as a pillow fort. I was comfortable though.

    One of my cousins and his wife have been struggling with IF for awhile. They are on their third round of IVF - the first two ended in miscarriages. She is about 12 weeks along now, but from what I can gather, they aren't optimistic for a good turn out for this baby either. My heart breaks for them.
