I temp. I o'ed on 11/24. My body is fucking with me royally and hasn't given me a period or a positive yet. Is it still the 60 day rule (60 days without AF or a pos, call your OBGYN) in a case like this? I know I could still have a chance for a positive but I'm a planner and like to know what happens next.

Why do you think you O'd on 11/24? According to the chart you linked, it's possible you O'd on 12/4, which would make you only 11 DPO. But with those discarded temps it's going to be hard to say. Why did you discard them?

It probably lowered it because you've got a few lower temps in your possible LP. I'm not convinced you've O'd at all. Neither is FF based on the dashed cover line.

As I said, I'm a planner. Past 3 cycles I've only had a 10/11 day luteal phase (which I know isn't necessarily great). I know I need to give it time but as I said, I'm a planner, I like to know possible future steps. Focusing on the future helps me not stress over the present.

But you didn't O on 11/24 and it's not really clear when you O'd. So I don't think you're body is doing anything out of the ordinary. The test 1X per week until you get to CD 60 applies IMO.

Sorry, should have given full story. Was sick with a miserable cold my whole FW. I didn't discard(I don't think) but FF did when I marked those days as sick/fever(I think). I got a positive OPK on 11/24 along with ovulation pain.

I agree with PP that the 60 day rule still applies, but I also wanted to mention that there is nothing wrong with a 10-11 day LP. It's completely normal and nothing to worry about.

Yea I don't know what is going on. I have normal symptoms for my period coming. I just hope it does I want a new cycle. I had the fake wondfos and was able to get one to turn positive either. Thank you!

@jschwind22‌ & @KingLED‌ , thanks for the advice and I meant to say I o'ed on 12/4. Sorry, long day and I'm having a bad brain moment, got dates mixed up. I knew 11/24 was important for some reason.
But really, thank you for the advice and the patience. It's greatly appreciated.

Edit: to add extra thanks. @KingLED‌, also thanks for easing my mind about the luteal phase thing. I know less than 10 days is less than ideal so I figured bring on the border like that was not great.

No problem! Like I said before, IMO this is a wait it out situation. I know you like to plan, but sometimes (all the time), planning goes right out the window with TTC. It's going to be hard to pinpoint your exact O date because you were sick and temps were wonky. Test 1X per week and call your doctor if you get to CD 60.

They're more prone to having the dye run and giving false positives. It's also much harder to tell a faint blue line from an evap line than it is a faint pink line.

I am by no means an expert (really a newbie myself) but I would agree with this.... Maybe more like the 7th or 8th for O?? A few more temps might confirm.

I also have no clue about the coverline though.

Thanks my other thought was that I'd either last Sunday or Monday too. I guess I just have to wait it out and see... this sucks.

Another noob question: When you mark drinking in your chart, do you mark it for the date you actually drank or the day it would affect the temperature (the morning after)?

Personal preference, just be consistent. I always marked it the morning after, since that is the temp that would be impacted.

NTTGPR: So... About those chats... When is it no longer awkward to join the chat room? I feel like I'm still a newbie around here, but I would love to join one of the chats. I also feel like if I join one of the chats it would be comparable to going up to a lunch table of a group of girls that hang out together & asking to sit & join in... It could go either way. Lol.

haha! join whenever! When I first came to TTGP, the chat room was how I got to know people and connected. The board was way too big and moved too fast. I'm only recently back so I can't speak for everyone in chat, but I promise I don't bite...hard.

Did you manually override your O date and coverline temp? The only time I've seen blue crosshairs in FF is by using the manual override function.

Based on secondary signs it does look like 12/4 is your O date, I was just curious if there was another reason for blue crosshairs that I personally had never seen before.

I think blue means manual override. Unless she has it set to detect on OPK? But I think even then they would be red. Gawd it's been awhile since I charted so I can't remember for sure.

Is there a correlation between the length / heaviness of a period and thickness of uterine lining? I could swear I've seen this come up in a playdate before and the knowledgable ladies here said no, but I searched and can't find the answer. This has come up a couple times in the last week or so in the WTO thread.

I never turned an OPK either I tested twice a day for awhile too. Not sure if I should be using a pregnancy test or still using OPK's at this point. I'm ordering a new batch of the correct wondfos this week.

My guess is you didn't O. What are your cycles typically like? I'd keep on with the OPK if you're still hoping to catch a surge.

Calculating LP - last cycle I O'd on CD26, then I got AF on what would've been CD36. This makes my LP 9 days, right? You don't count O day or CD1, right? And, if I'm right in calculating LP, my longest LP has been 9 days since coming off BC in August. Is it fair to assume my LP might lengthen - that my body is still adjusting to not being on the pill? Or do you think I am stuck with my 9 day LP?

I get crampy pelvic pain in the 2WW, on and off. It gets more intense two days before my period. I'm always worried I have endo or something. Does anyone else get this? What does endo pain feel like?

@mamasargetobe‌ most OPK strips are better with SMU or later. LH surges usually occur in the morning when you are sleeping and don't register in FMU. I know nothing about digis so I can't explain the difference in your outcome. I can tell you that the concentration of your urine shouldn't matter. You are just comparing the test line to the control line. Good luck!

--anticipating mobile quote fail-- See, a couple people have said that, about the concentration thing, but it just doesn't seem to hold up for me. If my urine is very light or clear (which it basically is any time other than FMU) I barely get a test line. With FMU my test line tends to get darker and lighter. I've been doing daily opks for a month in hopes of catching O and this is the third go round getting darker darker darker, and I finally got a definitive positive result. I basically got the digital to confirm ... and then nothing. I'll see what's up in the morning but it's just frustrating!

You are going to drive yourself absolutely insane over-analyzing every temp, OPK, secondary fertility sign, messing around with FF, etc. It's great to understand your body and your cycle but no amount of stressing or saving cups of pee to test later is going to change the fact that you're either ovulating PP or not.

Take a deep breath.

This. I can practically hear you freaking out in your posts. Just chart your temps and use ONE form of LH test. I've seen too many people driving themselves crazy by using multiple types of OPKs. One of those tests should coincide with your temperature fluctuation. Throw the other one away. Done.

I've been using OPKs for 3 days now. Based on my past cycles, my barely-week-long CM and CP charting, and the three days of BBT, FF thinks I'm fertile... but I've gotten negative OPKs since I started peeing on them 3 days ago.

I have had 3 days of watery CM and today I most definitely had EWCM... but still a negative OPK.

I know it's super early (so feel free to tell me to shut the fuck up) but is it possible that despite doing at least one OPK every day, I missed detecting the peak? Is it possible to not get a positive OPK but still O, just because of shitty timing in testing?

Oh so much good advice on here!! I am super new and just learning about temping! This was our 1st cycle and AF is 7 days late. Still BFN so I'm trying not to get my hopes up. Should I start temping now or wait until I get AF?
