Pelvic pressure

hey ladies I'm 34 weeks today. This is my third baby I have two girls and this one is my little boy but starting yesterday I've had incredible pelvic pressure I mean everytime I move its sharp pains. I swear it feels like his head is already in the birth canal. I also had irregular contractions all day. I don't remember this much pressure with either of my daughters. Any input on if this is something I should be worried about?

Re: Pelvic pressure

  • I'm not a doctor, which is who you should be calling for stuff that seems out of the ordinary for a pregnancy. If you don't remember having this much pressure in comparison to your last two pregnancies, call the doctor, don't consult an internet forum for medical advice. Especially if coupled with contractions, irregular or no. Your doctor knows what's normal for you at this point, we know hardly anything at all

  • It could just be that he is engaged already. However, as pps have advised, if you are having pressure and contractions then you should really get checked by your doctor/at the hospital.

  • I've never gifed before, and that was my attempt so that might have failed.  If so, sorry!

  • I've never had contractions, so IDK how worrisome the pressure is coupled with contractions. But, I can say that in my experience, my third pregnancy involved much more pain and pressure much sooner than the first two. In my case, it was nothing to worry about, but it did get me put on moderate bed rest.

Call your doctor or mention it at your next appt to get their take on it.

  • I don't know about you ladies but the further along I get I find it painful to walk and I feel like I have been punched in the vagina. Babies hurt! They stretch and pull on everything. OUCH! But so cute, and we are so close! Hang in there :)
  • Yes!  I starting feeling pelvic pressure at 33 weeks.  I told my doctor, and she asked if I had felt any contractions.  I hadn't, so she wasn't worried and told me it is normal.  The way she asked makes me think she may have been more interested if I was also having contractions, so definitely tell your doctor but don't worry too much.
  • It's definitely not anything to worry about but I will say I bought a maternity belt on Amazon and am sitting here without pain for the first time in two weeks. Feeling super sexy...:)
  • So many catty bitches
  • Completely understand what you are talking about. I've been experiencing these pelvic pains for awhile. I'm carrying low which may have something to do with it. They really happen often when I've been laying down for awhile so at night or in the morning. I definitely feel your pain!
  • @megan81112‌ well bitches are technically female dogs so I think we've got hens, emus, cats, dogs, hippos, and sheep.
It's just a zoo up in here!

catty female dogs? How the hell does that make any sense?

    :-??

Oh, and @LadyXaverian and @ICarriedAWatermelon, does the PP violate TOU with her comment or no?
    Nope. YGPM. :)

Don't listen to them, OP.  They're just all cranky 'cause their crotches hurt, too. (All that wukkin' and whinin', you know)

If this were a forum of mostly dudes, would the "you're rude, catty bitches" comments still happen? The "typical hens" comments?

I am trying to understand - because we are women our opinions are invalid and the result of us being "bitches"?  There has been some truly horrid shit said on these forums by people, but I honestly don't think anything is quite as offensive as brushing off a whole board of women as "catty bitches" or "typical hens" - talk about internalized misogyny....

I get that if you aren't getting the sunshine and rainbows you were after, it is easier to place the blame on others than to say "hey, maybe I should have done X Y Z" - or to lash out when one is over sensitive and can't handle a joke.  This board, and these forums in general, are not for everyone.  But easy =/= best or right.  And reducing an entire group of women to awful stereotypes of women just because your panties are in a twist is, frankly, really, really sad.

    Edited for clarity
having been the rare female member of a mostly male forum (not a pregnancy forum, lol)...no, it doesn't usually happen like that on forums that are mostly dudes.  at least not on that one.  they seem to generally have thicker skin than that.  there's the occasional person who has a stick up his ass about that particular forum's culture, but while it's a daily occurrence here, it's more like 2-3x a year there.

unfortunately, a fair fraction of them are misogynist jerks and don't even realize it.

  • OMG I cannot stand the bitchy comments!!!! why bother to post a response?? Move along please!
Yes, I have been feeling that often in the past week or two as well and my doctor said that our little guy has dropped but I have not dilated yet. I seem to get BH contractions at night but nothing regular yet. I think our little guys are just practicing for the big day!
  • I shoulda used my sarcastic font.  Where's sad Keanu again?

You beaches and your sandy vaginas.  Next thing you know, you'll all have your heads buried in the sand, too.  Oh, do emus do that or just ostriches?

    I thought that was flamingos?
