Well it says in the newbie blog that you aren't to post "Am I Pregnant??" threads in the forum. I think it applies to everyone.

  • I think it's OK to post a pee stick in a BFP thread, right? Or maybe in the TWW thread? Not sure...

I don't think it matters. If you're not an active participant on a board and you randomly come over and post a pee stick it's considered rude.

So are pee sticks allowed in regulates bfp posts?

Oh yeah for sure not that! That's just ridiculous. But if a regular posted a "Hey I am pregnant" that included pee sticks I think that's okay?? Maybe?

Right.  If you know you are pregnant and just want to share the happiness and the board actually cares about you, you can post the sticks in your BFP post.
How do we newbies know the board cares about us?

  • That's a negative Ghost Rider.... I can't see anything.  That being said blue dye tests suck, test again with a FRER.  If its positive no need to update us, move over to First Tri.

They send you a cake in the shape of a uterus with your name on it. I'm still waiting for mine...

No, it's not okay.  And a regular would never post such a thing because, again, they know better in all ways.

EDIT: SHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT.  I'm sorry!!!  I read your question as "Hey, am I pregnant?" and posted an unclear pregnancy test.  SORRY.  I CAN'T READ.
LOL Joy can't read.  FWIW, I read it the same way.
If it makes y'all feel any better... I had to re-read it several times because I thought that I wrote it wrong!

  • Am I crazy? Faint line?

Is it against TOU to answer her question with a "yes?" Would that be considered name calling or trying to help answer her question? @slappiness‌

I didn't think to ask. I edited it out of my response in case it was.

---- Quote fail never fails ----

Sorry - I didn't mean for that to sound like I was calling you out! I wanted to answer her post with "yes & yes," but thought I better check first. :)
  • I'm a professor, wife, mother, and I'm generally a pretty normal person. I do, however, lack fluency in the ins and outs of online discussion. It was absolutely rude of me not to read the newbie guidelines. And I'd very much like to remove this post because I feel embarrassed and sorry for the misstep. But I cannot delete a post once it has responses. Why not flag it for moderator removal rather than comment? When I was on these boards 2 years ago, it was common to see posts like this asking about tests. Isn't it a bit immature to be "grossed out" by "pee sticks"?

Only responding to your last question. No. It's not. I don't care to see a random strangers pee stick. TBH I don't care to see anyone's pee stick, whether they're a reg or not, but I'm less inclined to scoff at it if they are a regular.

You're 134 weeks pregnant....I don't think a pregnancy test is needed at that point....medical intervention though....

  • Taken down. I don't need "help understanding it" - I have a PhD. I was looking for feedback and support because I thought my eyes may be playing tricks on me.

Your AHS image actually made me LOL and for a moment I thought hmmm maybe she should stay, she seems kind of fun. But then I thought about you dropping the PhD bomb and I'm all ok bye bye now.

You wouldn't want to hang out with us dummies anyhow.

Don't you have a girlfriend to ask about this? Someone who may care more than a bunch of interwebz strangers?
