Re-gifting

Do you do it? Last year I I received 3 robes for Christmas. I am regifting one to mother in law. It's never been worn, with the tags on in a gift box. She wasn't I there to see me receive it. I am good right? If it matters she doesn't do gifts for us, but I still like to give her something.

In this situation I think re gifting the robe is fine and I would do the same thing.

I agree with @CurlingRocks‌ ...if it's a nice item and you think the recipient will like it, then NBD to regift.

For example:
Nice robe with tags = good regift
Tacky kitchen nicknack = no regift

I agree with PPs, as long as it's something she would actually like, I think it's fine to regift. And who doesn't love a robe?
C has recieved a couple of items for her birthdays that she already had at home. If there's no reciept, I store them in my closet to use for the next birthday party we're invited to. I just have to remember not to give it to the same child who gave it to us in the first place!

Agreed that if something is a) new/unused and b) of interest to the receiver who also didn't witness you getting it in the first place- it's okay to re-gift.

If it is something they would like and they didn't see you get it, then by all means re-gift. I have no qualms about it at all.

I regift, although I think it's usually toys and stuff for the kids. It just gets to be too much! So I have a stash in my closet and sometimes I pull from there if we have a birthday party to go to.
