I have successfully figured out how to go to the bathroom while nursing. Sometimes you just gotta go, and would rather not have a screaming baby wake up everyone in the house
Feeding LO and my dog wakes up and starts walking around the house puking. I haven't woken my husband up to help with anything overnight until now. I'm not willing to clean up dog puke at 3 AM. Also, I cannot get over how incredibly thirsty I am! I must drink several gallons of water per day. Thank god for my Brita.
Up pumping and I cannot believe LO is still sleeping! We may get our first 5 hour stretch ever! Of course I'm sure he will wake up hungry as soon I fall back asleep.
Tried putting my little guy in a sleep sack tonight instead of a swaddle...he's been up every hour---like he just discovered he has legs, has been kicking and flailing about and grunting up a storm. Sleep please!

LO just spit up all down my nursing tank top. And I don't mean down the front, I mean down the inside in the shelf part. Luckily my boobs caught it all but now I'm having an internal debate on whether or not to change my top. It's so close to morning so there's no point, right??
This is what I bet is about to happen. LO is gunna fall asleep about 6 which will give me an hour to sleep before getting SD up. FI's alarm will go off at 6:15 and he'll keep hitting snooze til 6:40-6:45...just predicting the future while I rock this kiddo to sleep :-w
I can't believe this, aside from 2 half hour quietly alert periods, DS slept 7 hours! I just nursed him and changed him into a new sleeper. He is out again. We started a bedtime routine for the past 4 days. So far we are making progress. Also the music box app seems to be the golden ticket for slumber.

Figures that when we get to the doctor that C isn't congested any more. Ugh
Probably because he was in his car seat, having him at an incline like that really helps the munchkins drain all boogies from their head and helps them breath!
DD slept 6 hours straight! My boobs are paying for it but I feel like a new woman! However I woke up to her leaned up against the crib railing with her little legs through it. She didnt really cry so she may have just done it. I know we shouldnt use crib bumpers but how can I prevent this from happening again?

I was wondering this too. I was thinking of using the mesh bumpers once he starts sleeping in the crib. My sisters all used them and they are a thin yet breathable fabric.

I need to brag on DH. We did potty-training boot camp with DS (2 year old) over the weekend. The method we used was putting regular underwear on him, pushing lots of fluids, and sitting him on the potty every 15 minutes. If they have an accident, they have to help clean it up. DH did 99% of it, since I was taking care of baby and was sick on Saturday. He spent pretty much the entire weekend either cleaning up pee or reading books to DS in the bathroom.
(((Hugs))) to the first day solo mamas. We'll be back here, cheering for you. Survival means taking a moment to go to the bathroom or stuff food in your mouth.
LO has been sleeping well from 1 or 2 am until 6am for several days. I'm sort of glad she doesn't wake us up for feeding, but she also only catnaps in the evening until 1 am or so. Then she'll feed around 6am and go back to sleep, maybe for a couple of hours.
We try to wash face & hands, change diaper, and swaddle around 9-11 pm, but inevitably another poop and feeding cycle rolls around and before we know it, it's past midnight again.
I have some snow I can share with all who want it!! there's not a ton here, but rained all day yesterday so everything under the snow is a sheet of ice. Cue DH and I deciding to keep the big girls home from daycare. Can't help but be a little disappointed. I really look forward to Mondays when they go to dc. Ha, does that make me a bad mom?! Hope not!
Gotta brag on baby a little bit now. She slept for 8 HOURS for the 3rd night in a row. Bless this child. She is too good to me! ...I haven't been able to put her down since she woke up, but I think it's a fair trade!!!
(:| I'm beginning to think our nighttime routine pisses off the baby instead of calms her... I was so hopeful to be on the tail end of a growth spurt (yep, been sayin that for daaaays now, eh?) and to get our 4-5 hour stretches of sleep back. NOPE! She fights sleep with screaming fits until around 2:00 a.m. whether we start or routine at 7:00 or 11:00. She was winding down between 8 and 9, eating at 10, 12, and 2 then sleeping until 5 or 6. Now? Well, Saturday night/ Sunday morning she finally fell asleep at 4:00 ... and woke up bright eyed and bushy tailed at 6, ready to play (and did so until 8:30)!
Dropped LO off at her first day of daycare today. I should be going back to work this week so we just decided to have her start now so she can get use to it. Of course as soon as we left I cried. This is the longest I have been away from my little girl. Since DH is going to be doing most of the dropping off I'm sure it will be easier on me because I won't be leaving her. Man I can't wait until after 3 so I can go and pick her up.
But I will say with how much I miss her the break is pretty nice I'm gonna get the last of my Christmas shopping done.
We cloth diaper and use a large garbage can with a pail liner as a diaper pail. After an extraordinarily large poop at 3 am, in which I needed to recruit SO's help, he points out that I have been putting the dirty wipes in the diaper pail instead of the smaller garbage can beside it. So, this afternoon, before I do my laundry, I get to sort through 2 days worth of dirty diapers to pull out used wipes so the don't destroy my washing machine. Not looking forward to it.
Omg! You guys I have to tell someone! It is a Christmas miracle! My work just called to tell me that I get a Christmas bonus this week. I am in happy tears. I was not expecting it at all and it is going to be such a huge help for bills.

I thought I had something to say, but now I can't remember:( dang it!
About the snow, it is 60 degrees in GA, so yall can suck it! I want snow:((((
Beckhams left? Eye is red around it. I think it's because that eye leaks fluid. It just started doing it. I think I'm irritating it everytime I whipe the fluid and gunk off.... What do yall think??
@ClrkKntismyAE I would be totally peeved too. Good for you for making it through that visit without exploding. The smoking to me is the worst...they can't go outside or wait until the kids are gone. I haven't been to my grandmas house for over 2 years because her husband smokes in the house and it reeks everywhere. Kids health comes first.
@ClrkKntismyAE holy shit... You handled that way better than me. Wow. I have no issues telling people to put their cigs out. Yes, even in their own homes. Maybe that should be my FFFC. Its their house but my kids lungs. If they want us their they can put it out. The rest of the story sucks it sounds very uncomfortable and horrible! Im sorry your family had to deal with that.
I dont really have a bitch besides the normal, I'm tired and cranky shit.
@MrsC430 - Love them! I like how you used the footprints too, great idea!
@ClrkKntismyAE - Ugh, who doesn't know that you shouldn't smoke around babies & little kids?! That was incredibly rude of them to begin with! The whole situation!
@ClrkKntismyAE You handled that way better than I would have! Good for you for not exploding and for putting your foot down about not going over there again.
N14 October Siggy Challenge: How I feel in the third trimester (especially when DH eats my pregnancy food)
@ClrkKntismyAE - wow. You handled that situation well. I would have lost my mind If someone started smoking around my baby. How do they not know that's not okay? I'm glad you said you won't be going there again and I don't blame you.
Re: Monday Randoms
Cue a rinse off/half bath that makes her waaaay more alert than needed at this hour.
Also, I cannot get over how incredibly thirsty I am! I must drink several gallons of water per day. Thank god for my Brita.

Umm pretty close. Awkward & uncomfortable as hell! Weird since I had a C/S?
