Happy things for the day: I got 6 new plant pots from someone moving out nearby (we just bought some plants yesterday). And I think my car will be here today or tomorrow! (Yay to freedom!!)
Today officially begins our vacation. We're heading to stay with DH's parents in Ireland until the 31st. I really need the down time. I'm a little nervous about the flight, but more really excited.

AFM- I have a business meeting at 2pm which stinks (it's Sunday and I wanna watch football!) However my family is going to this old steakhouse Tonight we go to every year around Christmas. I'm not much of a meat eater, but they have this cheese bread that blows my mind. I'm gonna eat like an entire basket lol
Going to a target that has this baby girls sleeper for Christmas on hold for me. My BFF has twin girls and I've been searching for some cute Christmas pjs for them. They are sold out in every store except newborn size!! Found one at my target and another about 30 min away....it better be there for me haha. When this is all said and done I hope she doesn't already have them!
We need to get out the glider and put it together, it's just taking up space in our loft area in the big box.
We are gonna attempt to go get a picture in front of the big Christmas tree at the mall so we can get a Christmas card out. Talk about last minute!
Otherwise today is just more cleaning and sitting around.
So today I'm spending my day packing my shit. Life is just fucking awesome.
Total random: all throughout the night my stomach was sweating (since it was pressed up against the snoogle). I've had sweat in weird places but my bump?? So weird.
Today is lounging again for me- might try and get H to hang some stuff in the LO nursery space, that is if he will wake up and stop snoring. :P

@jcar2 I'm so glad you're feeling better. It's definitely no fun being sick. I've been having coughing fits the last day and a half and the lack of bladder control is making this extremely unpleasant. Hopefully zoo lights was fun! I always love zoo lights. It sounds like you need and deserve a massage!
@saltyfins Happy birthday to your hubby. Hope you guys have a lot of fun! We just got our bbq in with the rest of our gear about 5 days ago. Can't wait to use it, but we have to do something special to it, first, to make it work able here.
@jnowosielski Yay, to parties! We might have a gala through some tennis tournament we're going to (my hubby's company is supposed to get us tickets). If that happens ... I have no idea where I'll get a dress or outfit. Are black pants appropriate for a gala?

@mwerren Thanks! I don't eat meat (I do eat fish though) and LOVE steak houses. Texas roadhouse has the BEST rolls! Yum! I don't even think steak houses exist here, so my husband will laugh when that's one of the first places I want to go, back in the states, to eat.

K's grandma passed away late last week so today into tomorrow we have the wake and funeral. Things have been hectic and emotional, and financially burdensome...the holidays and such are difficult enough, but outside of the emotional toil of losing a close family member, there is a financial toil. K needed a new suit, I needed a new sweater, and E needed a more muted colored dress...all purchases we weren't planning on.
Sorry for babbling, I just wanted to say hi and explain why I've been MIA.
SS is with BM this weekend so we went to lunch yesterday while shopping.
We always sit at the bar if it's just the two of us. I had a wonderful raspberry lime mocktail! It was delish and it made me feel a little fancy

I am a hot hormonal mess today. Dd and DH are both sick, DH has barely been home because of his coaching schedule and I think DD may be acting out a bit because she misses her daddy. I'm at my wits end with her behavior and burst into tears after leaving her in her crib for her nap (after she kicked the Christmas tree, tried to open the presents, and attempted to kick me in the stomach). I then picked a fight with DH. Ugh...one of those days I just want to run away and be by myself for a day or two.
@cinderella105 I'm sorry you are dealing with this, your friend is a douche! I'm glad you and your kids have somewhere to stay for now tho.

Haven't had much of a chance to thoroughly read the randoms but wanted to stop in and say hi! We spent the morning at DS football banquet. Get to sit for an hour before we have to run back out for more errands.. I'm exhausted already!
We made more progress on the "nursery" nook! We still need to do more shelf cleaning and add more shelves. Also need to add a new light fixture and some paper flowers hanging from the ceiling. Oh and we need crib bedding haha! But H hung all the things for me. I'm very happy with him.

I have been home lounging in my pj's all day. My husband is working overtime so I've just been taking care of my crazy toddler. During his 2 hr nap I finished a book, "The Orphan Train". It was really good and a quick read. This evening I just plan on lounging and putting my son to bed at 730 so I can indulge in sparkling grape juice and catch up on my real housewives shows.
