My H's best friend and his fiancé are so different it baffles us. On top of other little things, one is a liberal atheist and the other is a die hard republican catholic. Can this marriage work out?
My H and I are very similar, especially on our thoughts of the big topics: money, religion, kids, education. But maybe some people find the differing opinion attractive?
DH has been a bump on a log all day and wonders why I'm exhausted and don't want to go to his friends tree trimming party. And I have to direct the christmas play at church tomorrow morning... He wonders why I want to come home early.
Four year olds LOVED treasure hunt and digging for buried treasure. (I tried to be mellow as aquarium sand was strewn all over the dining room floor....and their hands got dyed blue. It was a struggle.)
All my pics with S in them have his friends and I haven't edited out their faces yet. But here's the boat pre-party. They loved that too. We put the learning tower on the other end from the sail with a nautical wheel.
Got the house completely clean to in-law sparkle (minus floors), cleaned two closets, did all the laundry includes bedding and bath mats, made my meal plan and went to the store.
Tomorrow is the start of cooking: Clam Chowder, pot roast, cranberry bliss bars, hot chocolate mix, and black bean dip. Plus need to vacumn and mop. But we're in good shape. They'll arrive around 3pm.
I am always amazed and baffled by how much you can accomplish in a day! One of these tasks is a good day's work for me. You did them all.
Enjoy your time with ILs.
(Also I think achieving IL sparkle has yet to happen in this house. Maybe if I didn't have to clean up after a band of roving pirates )
@lizbethann82 it sounds like we've had similar health problems this week. When I had it, I thought I might die. I didn't! It did take a good 4 days and 2 prescriptions to help me feel better though. Hope you feel better soon.
Things are getting really tough for G. He has two different playdates this next week with two pretty ladies. They have also both sent christmas cards. He spent a long time looking at both photos and pointing at Claire @simone711 & Maggie @KateJuly2013. It's like he's got decisions to make.
@Encchanted now that I've got two girls, I would love to dress them up as the sisters in white Christmas for Halloween some year. White Christmas is my absolute favorite Christmas movie!
Does anyone know of a good thing for cracked hands? I have horribly dry skin on my hands during the winter and I have a bunch of little cuts everywhere. Has anyone tried coconut oil? I have a million creams and none seem to help too much. Thanks girls
I'm sure coconut oil would be great! DH loves using Burt's Bees hand salve. *adding to say that he uses it at night because it's very greasy

This...O'Keeffe's working hands cream. It is seriously magical. In just a few days your skin is the smoothest and healthiest ever. They also have a foot cream and it is the one I use all the time. Works like a charm...I think the reviews tell enough.
I just ordered the hand cream and the foot cream!!!
We went and visited with DHS cousin today. We got to go see Santa and the reindeer but that was about it. I had hoped to do more. Oh well.
DHs grandma gave Zoe her Christmas present today so she wouldn't feel left out since we all gave DHs cousins son his gifts today. Lol.
It's a baby doll. She has playing with it all night. DH said "baby dolls are a waste of money. They don't play with them long." I looked at him. I said "how long do you think they play with them?" H: "2-3 months" @-) /:) LOL. Oh DH.

The list of disagreements goes on and on. I can see where kids would create more disagreements with holidays, baptisms, etc.

Now to grade. And Christmas!

d.h.: Okay, I do not want to watch Dharma&Greg.
It's really ladies choice in the Mad group. 3 boys for Maggie and Claire to choose from. Right now, Maggie is keeping her options open
