AW: Larger Uterus Update

A few weeks ago, some of you may recall that I had a pelvic exam and my doctor said my uterus was larger than what would be expected for that time. Well, on Thursday I had my ultrasound. Turns out I'm exactly where I thought I was and only am carrying one baby.

The ultrasound was amazing. We were exactly 9 weeks on Thursday and got to hear the baby's heartbeat.

Unfortunately, after the ultrasound, I started throwing up and couldn't stop. So DH had to pull over on our way home. And then I proceeded to vomit all night. And then Friday came around and I was still vomiting and I couldn't keep anything down. Finally, by the end of the night, I had a slurpee, some Gatorade, and half of an English muffin. And I was able to keep that down. I did have to miss work though. I looked it up online and think maybe the tech put too much pressure on my stomach. Anyways, I'm attaching my picture and I hope today is better.

    Congrats!! It's so exciting to see the baby! Hope you are feeling better though. I had my first appt on wed and the dr said the same thing about my uterus so they did an ultrasound. I was exactly what I thought I was 9w4d and one baby! Actually happy the dr thought I was farther along because otherwise I wouldn't have had any ultrasound till 18 weeks!

    @elride‌ I suspect the same thing here. I guess this baby just made him or herself more comfortable by building a large penthouse. Lol

    How much larger did he/ she think your uterus was? I went in for my first ob appt yesterday at 7.5 weeks and he thought I was 10-12 weeks according to the size of my uterus. He got me scared bc I kept second guessing the dates, thinking my baby was under developed (7+weeks).

    Congratulations! Sorry about all the sickness, ugh. 

    I have a friend who was told the same thing-that her uterus was 3-4 weeks ahead the whole pregnancy. She still ended up being a little overdue but all was well for her and her daughter, too.
