Sorry for the early start; I'm headed to the gym for a barbell class like a crazy person at 9.

No news on nephew yet.

I ended up in a bit of a funk last night which I tried to clear up by listening to Leonard Cohen albums. Lesson learned: only Christmas music this time of year for cheering up.

I'm sure everyone is super busy with the holidays and end of the year and preparing for our new babies, but I miss you guys!! So many new names I don't recognize and secretly hoping you all made AEs. I have mostly lurked this week so I understand how busy we all are, so I wanted to say I hope you are all doing well and there wasn't a mass exodus to baby center that I was not aware of.

So, hopefully we start Christmas shopping today and put up our tree. I am soooo behind. I'm not gonna lie though, I've been a Scrooge this year!

I also dreamt I was getting fancy cupcakes from a fancy cupcake place. I was just about to take a bite when I woke up. To say I was disappointed would be a understatement. I now NEED a cupcake...at 6am.

Today is the movie marathon and chiropractor! I'm hoping that the chiro can help out my hip because I'm in such pain. Other than that lazy day and maybe wrapping some presents. After today we are officially done shopping! Wahoo!

Didn't fall asleep until 3 waiting for MH to come home from being out with friends. Really? Tx for.replying to my text.

Need to jump in shower for early teeth cleaning. Trying to sort through baby shower stuff is too overwhelming for me!! I don't know what's wrong with me. Hope everyone has a great Sat!

This place has been weird lately. I am going to blame it on the holidays for being slower than normal.

I have so much to do today I just want to cry. My parents get her on Friday and our house is an insane mess. Like a bigger mess than it has ever been and H can't help me.

Not doing a tree since the room is overtaken with baby stuff but I told MH please put the lighted trees out on the porch so our house isn't depressing looking lol. Aww maybe do something small outside for DS?

That's the same issue lol. Our extra room doesn't have room. We have baby stuff in there and I need to get the nursery ready. We have to move a side table into that extra room to make room for the tree and we leave the bins in there until its time to take it down.

Really it's not impossible, just laziness. It will get done. DS is pretty excited. I'd feel like a jerk if we didn't.

Answering for her...her SIL went into labor last night, so she is waiting on news. I think everything is normal/on time ect.

Relaxing weekend planned. I think we are just going to try and clean the house a bit and paint our bedroom which is all primed. I also need to re look at our budget and start really looking at potential cars to see if we can swing a new (used) bigger car.

We were up bright an early. First thing N wanted to do was go swimming. Sorry bud- not this early- pool is sleeping I told him. He then told me be needed on call auntie and wake her up (she works there).

We have 2 gatherings this weekend. One today at my moms which is 2 minutes away and one 2 hours away tomorrow for DH's side. Not looking forward to that one so much.

Shower today at 2pm. My mom, sister, and aunt will be there so maybe that will help on the funk I was in last night.

Trying to convince DH to get a fake tree this year. Just easier!

The layout of our bathroom sucks. Our house was built in the early 50's and has never been remodeled at all. It has zero electrical plugs in the bathroom at all! Drying my hair for the shower will be fun today.

Letting DH sleep a bit more before I kick him out of bed to take me to walmart and push me around to get last minute items for the hostess gifts. Thinking ornaments....

Today is my baby shower- I'm excited and nervous at the same time. It's coed. The hostess and her husband are coming at 12:30 to start setting up (it's at our house). My H and I are going to clean and get the house ready before they get here. It's not going to be very big, but that's fine by me!

Other than that- 32 weeks today! I have been sleeping pretty well the past few days, maybe because I'm still exhausted from traveling to Denver and back, but hey, it's awesome to only wake up ONCE to pee

We leave for our trip to Florida next Friday night, and I have a ton to do to get ready. For some stupid reason, I am agreeing to put up the tree, although we won't be home for Christmas. My kids really want it though. I plan on leaving it up at least through mid January, if I can get it up today.

I am making my kids breakfast, DH is working, and it is not going to be frigid cold, so that's a win

Up before the sun here in Phoenix today, again. Just made a glorious breakfast and I'm trying to convince myself to go organize shower gifts. We're having dinner guests tonight and tomorrow plus I'm seeing clients both days as well.

DH is going to put up the new fan and drapes in the nursery which I'm super excited about! And I'm making homemade clam chowder for dinner tonight. I used that as an excuse to buy fancy Straus Organuc creamery milk but am using it for my Indian-style chai which is amazingly decademt

I'm around. I just lurk a lot now. Between keeping a 2 year old out of the Christmas presents, Christmas planning, getting all the old baby stuff ready, figuring out what needs replacing and trying to keep things clean amongst other things I've been busy. Also, I can't handle the bad questions that only a Dr can answer.

DH and I are going to Lowe's today to get stuff for the house. We need to replace all the interior doorknobs because we have lever-style ones that our cat can open. This way we don't have to worry about locking doors to keep him out, and I can shut Roslin's bedroom without worrying about him letting all the cats in.

We're also finally getting some vertical blinds for our big sliding glass door in the living room. It's been bare the almost five years we've been in the house, and now I want the option for privacy in my living room. Last but not least we're going to find some blackout curtains for Roslin's room.

Happy Saturday all yesterday was extremely exhausting spent the entire day Christmas shopping and car seat shopping with my dad and stepmom they are only in town one more day so hopefully we will have some fun I'm extremely blessed that I only have a little more shopping to do for baby as my dad has brought soooooo much stuff. Needless to say I will not have a baby shower well off to eat cereal have a good Saturday lovies

2nd attempt at painting the nursery today. Still have that last wall of the horrible wallpaper border to get off. Hopefully it won't take too long and we can actually get to the painting part! Fabric softener and water is what finally did the trick.

I've spent the morning cleaning my house. I'm hosting a Christmas cookie and candy exchange with 8 friends in about 10 minutes. I am so excited! It's going to take a lot of self control to not scarf down my portion of the goodies all this afternoon. Also, doing more baking after everyone leaves. I'm makings tins of christmas treats for the 5 other houses on our cul-de-sac and will have the kids deliver them later today.

Tonight, we are having dinner downtown and will watch the annual Christmas boat regatta, from the bay front. All the boats are decorated with Christmas lights. Some get really elaborate and they award prizes for the best display. Always a fun family event.

I think the holidays just have everyone crazy busy. I don't know about anyone else but the single digit week countdown element if doing a bit of a mental number on me too. That's probably why we're suddenly getting all the strange symptom posts all of the sudden again.

Oh well, no spam really for me today, other than I agree with feeling behind and unmotivated. Hopefully everyone has a good Saturday!!!

Good luck with all the xmas plannng, nursery overwhelming stuff, and showers ladies!

I've been around on here too much lately (because of being in bed rest for my injury to heal) and it has been super strange.

I'm still unsure about what the heck was real or not in the shower threads. I felt like making a CP about it to get an answer but rhen thought that might burst someone's feelings so I didn't.

My spam is that I wish I was in Vancouver with DH. He's there for a work xmas party but I have to give an exam on Monday so I have to miss the fancy party at the yacht club (and I have the cutest dress for it)! I think I'm going to wear the dress to my exam just to freak out the students and make my sled feel better. lol

Going to try to go back to sleep now as it is still too early to be awake on a weekend!

Nephew arrived around midnight, so the update came while I was at the gym. Everything seems fine with him and SIL.

I've done pretty much all of the shopping (apart from car seat) that I think I'm going to do today and am now waiting for DH to finish his driving lesson so we can get lunch and the seat.

The kids are at their dad's house and the H is in Michigan for his brother's college graduation. I have the house to myself, but no fun for me. I have so many research papers to grade this weekend. I need to give them back before break, so I'm trying to motivate myself to get this all done. It was a much easier process last year when I consumed copious amounts of wine to help the process.

I've also been sad about not being able to have a few glasses of wine while grading. Although, I've never been able to grade past 2-3 glasses anyway, so without the wine I'll actually get through the stack much faster!

I'll have 150 odd to grade come Monday! Ugh! But thank heavens I only committed to one course this term!

My D12 FB group did a holiday gift exchange. The girl who drew me is also a F15 mom, but not a TB viper with us. I received my gift today, she sent me a ton of fresh produce from her farm and pre-paid for a pedicure for me! I wanted to cry at her thoughtfulness!
