BU PRESTO Study - FF VIP

Hi guys,

I wanted to pass this along to you in case you are interested in joining this study. I received a year of FF VIP for joining and it's basically a 10 minute questionnaire re: TTC once every two months. I actually got the email from TB.

Here's the info from the email.

PRESTO is one of the first Internet-based studies in North America to examine whether lifestyle factors such as diet, exercise, and medication use have an impact on fertility and pregnancy outcomes.

You and 2,500 other women are being invited to complete one online questionnaire at enrollment and every 2 months for up to 12 months or until pregnancy occurs.

You will also have the opportunity to invite your male partner to participate.

Half of all enrolled participants will get a free premium membership at FertilityFriend.com, an online software program that charts your menstrual cycles and records your fertility signs.

PRESTO is being conducted by researchers at Boston University and is funded by the National Institutes of Health.

I just did it, someone else actually told me about it! It really wasn't bad at all. I wasn't selected but if you invite your male partner you could win an ipad mini so I am hopefully we will still win something!!!

Boo! Filled it all out and did NOT get selected for the free VIP membership. Oh well. Happy to help in a study around conception and fertility. Bummer I didn't get the perk.

You will get an email telling you. This email is sent out after you complete the baseline survey.

I got a 6 month VIP but it won't let me combine it with my current membership.

Yikes, sorry guys, that does seem like crappy odds. I usually never get picked for anything, so when I saw the email a few months ago, I figured the odds were pretty good. I was able to use it with my existing FF account....

I did the study too and they said I wasn't eligible for the FF VIP because I already had the app. I have the free one, not the VIP so that was annoying.

If you already have an FF account, you are not eligible to get a free VIP membership. It's on their website.
