Nevermind

Apparently my desire to solicit advice specifically from mothers that may have personally experienced the situation I am considering was overly offensive to those mothers who haven't experienced this but still wish to offer their opinion, so I'm just removing it. Hope this post is short enough for your reading preference.

Re: Nevermind

  • Ummm, I don't have to have more than one to tell you what I think. Anyway, DD was 3 months old the first time she was on a plane. She's always been easy to travel with.

  • In your situation I would do it, I think you'd be ok. You would probably be totally stressed out the day of the trip but its doable for sure
  • Someone started out a little rough...

What does that mean? Who did?

Oh my gosh, seriously, you are going to get all worked up over that?  It's not personal. I'm just interested in the experience of mothers who have had to fly - alone - with two kids in tow.  You're welcome to comment if you only have one, and in my experience it has been phenomenally easy to travel with only one kid, so I'm simply wondering if I need to alter my expectations with two kids instead and thought perhaps that the advice of someone who has at least two kids would be more relevant and less theoretical.

Your specific question was about the age of taking a newborn on a plane. Your post was tl;dr anyway.

Yup, the question is about the age of taking a newborn on a plane, because since I mentioned I have a four year old I'd be taking with me and asked for the advice of second time moms, I thought the fact that this question also involved the consideration of flying with two kids at the same time - one of which will be a newborn - would be obvious

    * faceplant* now I remember why I stopped asking for thoughts and advice in this forum after my first one.

Just forget it.  Sorry that my desire to solicit advice from people who specifically might have experience with the situation I am thinking about is so offensive.
