I'm more ahead of the game this year than usual. I still have to:
send out christmas cards
buy a few gift cards
finish wrapping kids gifts
make some baked goods
I am determined to enjoy Christmas Eve this year! Last year, we had a 3 year old, 2 year old, and 5 month old and were up wrapping gifts super late. So, what's left on your to do list?
Last year I spent Christmas Eve and Christmas in the hospital after having a scare with my pregnancy. I am DETERMINED to enjoy the holidays as well. We also just got back from WDW, so we were late on several things. However we have already put up the Christmas tree (okay but it's not decorated yet), put up lights, purchased Christmas cards (still need to send them), purchased Christmas presents for almost everyone but not quite everyone.
Also, DS's birthday is Friday and his party is Saturday. Once that is done I hope to have the tree decorated, cards addressed and ready to mail and the rest of the shopping done, all by Sunday evening. Fingers crossed!
I'm really struggling with enjoying the season b/c i feel so rushed/stressed trying to get everything done. just got tree decorated last night and it's not up to my standards (seeing as the person who helped the most was 3 yrs old). still have half unpacked boxes of decorations/lights out. half-a**ed my kitchen decorations. nixed outside lights completely. *sigh* guess will try to do better next yr when kids are slightly older and things are less crazy. those days are coming, right?? lol
I decided last year that I wasn't going to be a Pintrest Christmas mommy. And that was so incredibly freeing. I realized that I wasn't doing a lot of Christmasy things for my joy or my family's joy but because I thought I ought to. Now, I do some inside decorations, and next year we will do outside decorations since DD loves looking at people's lights. We don't do Christmas cards except as tip holders to people we need to tip, and I have a box of cards for that. I've done all the shopping for the kids. I'm still futzing with inside decorations, but only because I love that and it's fun for me. We do need to take kids for pics with Santa. And we need to buy good booze as gifts for some friends and family. And we will do Christmas cookies because it's fun. I don't care if that happens now or Dec 24, just in time to put on the plate for Santa.
Oh geez. Some days I feel like I'm on top of it with Christmas, but others I feel like I'm behind.
Christmas cards are sitting on my desk waiting to go out. A couple of customers are getting Christmas cards so I'm waiting a day or so after I mail work related holiday stuff out to send them personal cards.
None of my food contributions can be made until a day or so before I need them.
We still have one tote of Christmas décor that is in the shed still.
As for shopping, I just need to get a couple more stocking stuffers for DH, pretty much all stocking stuffers for LO and then give the nieces/nephews gifts a quick comparison to see if everything is equal and fill in the blanks with candy and gift cards.
Wrapping is 100% not started. I'm thinking I'll do that next Friday night since our first family get together is next Saturday.
I would say I am about where I usually am. About 1/2 my shopping done, tree up but not decorated. I luckily i work in an industry that gives holiday from Christmas through the new year. most people save a few days vacation to take before this starts. So, my last day at work is the 16th. I will spend most of next week doing everything else to 'get ready' for Christmas.
The one thing I don't do is cards. I realized it is just too much for me, when I have too many other things to do. Instead our family tradition is to send out Valentine's day cards. I love it. I get the chance to focus on just the cards. I get to write personal notes to everyone I send them out to. They have been very well received and not lost/overlooked in the mass of Christmas and holiday cards everyone gets.

I love this idea! This year I used cardstore.com and I highly recommend it. You can enter your addresses and save them for future use, and they send the cards directly to the recipients!
1. I have my shopping done except for my niece which DH wants to do with me.
2. Nothing is wrapped, but planning on doing that tonight while I watch American Horror Story with DH after the kids go to bed. I'll do the DC presents tonight, too.
3. I don't bake or cook or require anyone else to bake or cook, so anything anyone does will be a bonus. We do make hors d'oeuvres for Christmas Eve, so I'll have to go buy 12 packages of cream cheese and a couple of other groceries for that.
4. I don't require my kids to be dressed all Christmassy, so that's "done." I did find cute Rudolph noses at the dollar store that light up, so might need to find some antler headbands...
5. And I still have to find my other box of decorations, so we can have stockings hung up by the chimney with care.
6. I don't even bother with Christmas cards. I do Happy New Year cards while I have downtime after Christmas.
So, basically, I have - like - 3 things to do and 2 weeks to do it. Booya.
I feel like I've got nothing done. I still need to: Buy gifts for DH, DD and my parents and grandma Wrap those gifts Hang stockings Clean the house before MIL comes on Sunday
I would typically do cookies and Christmas cards but I'm too stressed this year. F it.
No, and I am starting to flip, because Chanukah starts TUESDAY, people!
I did send out our holiday cards, so yay for me on that. To do:
1. Wrap 8 nights' worth of presents (eesh!);
2. Send thank yous for some of the gifts we have gotten already.
3. Make treats for the DC teachers.
4. Finish writing cards for the DC teachers.
5. Buy gifts for my parents and DH (going to be freaking impossible).
I am usually not so behind!!!

Just finishedbuying gifts for DD and my dad. Also bought gifts for god daughters. Hav to buy some for ofc friends, bffs, dd's teachers and my godmother
Reading these lists has me on the brink of a panic attack...I keep thinking I am almost done, then I realize I have stockings for 5 kids, 2 adults...teachers...tips....Santa....see lights...bake...make DH's photo book....I need to make a real list.
I need to buy a gift for my assistant, and do my cookie baking. I will probably bake some cookies tomorrow, before my stepson leaves for three weeks because sugar cookies are his favorite and I promised him a batch. Otherwise - I am done with everything until Christmas Eve. I got the cards out, wrapped all the presents decorated, etc. I wanted to be really on top of things this year and it's worked out - it's so nice not be stressed.

ETA words for clarity
I need to:
We are getting our tree Sarurday, so we have to all that.
Christmas cards are almost done.
I've done no baking and almost no shopping and then of course I have to wrap.

I still have to shop for Christmas eve dinner, breakfast the next day and all of the sweets and snacks we will be eating.
All of the cards have been sent out, the decorations are up and the gifts are purchased, wrapped and hidden. Crazy.
We're travelling over the holidays so no hosting duties at all. Makes things pretty simple.
Buy gifts for DH, DD and my parents and grandma
Wrap those gifts
Hang stockings
Clean the house before MIL comes on Sunday
I would typically do cookies and Christmas cards but I'm too stressed this year. F it.
Edit: oh! And buy daycare teacher gifts. Ergh.
I feel pretty good, but I still need to:
My main goal is to enjoy the holidays with my family!
I did send out our holiday cards, so yay for me on that. To do:

I cannot even....
