Re: Confessions?

  • @atomiccounty‌ DH and I were just talking about how schools needed home ec now. I didn't take it but it would have been nice.

@HilarityEnsued‌ I am insanely jealous of you! I have always wanted to go to Disney for Christmas!

Anyways, with DD1 I let everything grow but with DD2 I had just shaved the day before I delivered. I felt like it was much easier to keep clean, use Tucks, etc. with everything groomed.

    Edited to fix words

I'm starting to prefer it when MH is out of town. DD acts much better & I run the show. He comes home & she turns into a hot mess with behavior and I run a smoother ship here in general. Ugh.

I get this.  It's hard when him being home is the break in the routine, and not the other way around.  MH doesn't travel as much as YH, but he's almost never home on weeknights.  It's a mess when he is.

I'm sorry, it's always so rough when there is a change on routine. That's why ExH & I do week on/week off. DD had such a hard time transitioning households every 3/4 days. Hopefully it will get better for you when they get older!
  • Ooo, I thought of another one. DH and I are thinking about trying to get pregnant, but the idea freaks me out a little. I'm not sure I can handle 4 kids. Some days I'm like "sure, I could totally do this", other days I think we're crazy for even considering it.

I just had our 3rd and it's kicking my butt. Does this get easier? Because it's straight crazy in here right now!

We had our 4th kid 4 months ago & I still feel like this somedays lol

I know what you mean. Mine isn't out of town, but works long hours and it's much easier to do things without him sometimes.

  • I am going to try to sell my engagment ring today (I work near the diamond district) and I am having mixed feeling about it.

I can for sure use the extra cash, but several people told me to hang on to the ring and give it to DD when she gets older.  I am not sure why she would want it though?

    Only on page 2.

I have my mom's wedding ring from when she was married to my dad. I like to keep it to think of the happy times we had as a family. But then again, I was way older than your DD when my parents divorced.

  • FFFC: who knew I had so many feels about the term broken home
  • I was way more concerned with my toes being freshly groomed then my ladies parts. But in the end all 4 of my kids said fuck due dates & all came late, the last 3 induced, & I was able to properly groom for all deliveries. FFC

Lol, glad I'm not alone, haha.

Part of me wants to get pregnant and do the newborn thing because I've never experienced that before (we've always been in the kids' lives but our munchkins came to us when the girls were about 9 months old), but at the same time, there's so much to consider. I mean we'd need a bigger car, a bigger house, etc. It just all seems so overwhelming!

Edited because I can't type today...

I still look at people wrangling 3 or more kids in a store & think God bless that brave person lol

Me too! I never thought it would bug me so much, till now. Even my well intentioned coworker (who I adore, and we're really good friends) she said something about "broken home" in regards to one of our clients the other day, and it really bothered me :(
  • only read page one so far.
have never been waxed there. My confession is I have a super sweet amazing neighbor who has offered to tint my lashes and brows for my party. I want my lashes done but do not want her to do my brows ( I hate the way I look with eyebrows, feel like groucho marx) but even though I kindly said so I am pretty sure she will still try to do it and I feel bad saying no to her face. Might end up with brows

  • This is from the bathroom at the MFM office. Where they'll wield a dildo cam like nobody's business but apparently can't bring themselves to type out "sanitary napkin" or "Feminine products".  @-)

    Lol

  • Oh an actual confession. I may have potentially found out the baby's sex today but I'm probably not going to tell DH.
Does he not want to know?
He does, but it might hurt his feelings that I found out without him. Plus it's still early so could be totally wrong. We go for the A/S next month so I'll let him find out then.

  • Confession:  I woke up this morning convinced I was KTFU because I was nauseous, thus causing a minor panic attack.  Newp.  Just a stomach bug.

I blame my coworker for making me over-think every bodily function I now have by telling me I must be pregnant because I had to pee twice in one hour.

  • I had a bunch of blood done at my annual appt and my cholesterol came back slightly elevated.

I've never had any tests come back abnormal and I'm annoyed that I have to make some changes in my life.

But I know it's for the best.
  • I need help with girl names. DH and I can't agree on anything because he doesn't appreciate my excellent taste. I have proposed Evelyn, Silvia, Marjorie (don't laugh, I love it) and he shot them all down. I can't really think of anything else I LOVE, and his only contribution has been Mae for a middle name which I don't really like, but I would be willing to compromise if he would just give me the first name. Anyway, suggestions?

    LOVE Silvia!

Can I suggest Gloria, Vivian, Lydia, Bianca and Fiona?

what are the first initials of everyone else in the fam?  Are you trying to be matchy?  or avoiding it?
We are G, C, M, and E. Don't care about matching (obvi). Last name rhymes with yule.

  • I am having a really REALLY hard time biting my tongue when my boss starts bragging about how she is spending $10,000 on Christmas, and how last year the presents in her living room stacked up over 6ft tall.  I think it's in really bad taste to shove this down the throats of two of your workers who may no be able to buy their family gifts this year.  ( She talks about it every. single. day.  People who don't even work with us have heard about it from her.)

I have alllll the mommy guilt this season over not being able to buy the baby presents for his first Christmas, but we are still not back on our feet from H losing his job a couple months ago.  Going to work lately has only made my mommy guilt worse when I have to sit and listen to her go on and on about how she has 18-20 gifts for each of her grandkids under the tree right now, and has more packages showing up every day.

I'm only 16 weeks, so it's still a little early but per the tech "It looks like a girl to me."
    OH FUCK GOD DAMN!

    Carry on....
LOL you and everybody else I know.
