Appointment today. I had my due date officially moved to March 18th (I started using that as my due date about 2 days after my last appointment after spending some time considering the pros and cons). Baby's heartbeat was loud and strong and just waiting to be found. Got the order sheet for my glucose test to do whenever in the next two weeks and then have and order form for the rhogam shot. Apparently my doctor is having me tested to see if I actually need it since I was just given it back in January after we lost Jonah, so I'll be spending she said almost 2 hours in the lab waiting for the results before finding out if I even need it.
I had my 28 week appointment today. I officially go every 2 weeks from this point forward. The appointment went good. The baby is really high. That is why I am measuring ahead or so she figures, also why she thinks that I am so big and out front. The heartbeat was 135. Of course he moved so much that it took forever for her to find the heartbeat. She always says he is a active baby. She told me to watch what I eat, so I don't end up with a 9 lb baby.
So I forgot I had a real appt this week, but I did. We discussed the GD diagnosis and how to proceed, it was comforting but I'm anxious for my u/s on Monday to see how he's growing and make sure he's not too big. There was some talk about the potential need for induction before 39 weeks if he does grow too big, so I'm praying that's not something that becomes necessary. I want him to stay put until he's ready.
I also got my rhogam shot today. I asked if I got an option of where she stuck the needle and was told "one cheek or the other". It was really uncomfortable, but I have a crippling fear of needles. I'm sure it wouldn't bother everyone.
Baby's heart rate was perfect. I start going in every two weeks now. Feeling a little calmer about the GD thing.
@Whitfry That stinks I'm sorry No chance it was wrong? Do you know if you want to do meds or control through diet? I've heard some women find it more...humane to use the meds as it doesn't require SUCH strict diet restrictions.
Update on ultrasound appointment, measuring on track! Estimated 2.5lbs and going well! Back in 4 weeks to get another peek and see if she is still doing well and on track! Doctor commented on how active she was and how he was having trouble getting measurement. She's definitely been active and has been kicking and poking the majority of each day. A little exhausting but I'm glad she's so active and healthy! She pushed back against the ultrasound device again and just seemed very grumpy about it haha!
Got a very cute 3d/4d image! Looks like last week of February for the C-Section, will get a date at some point from the hospital I guess? Not terribly sure. Regular OB appointments now every 2 weeks.

My number was 211, so it was definitely not a mistake. Sigh. I'm wanting to go straight to the metformin because I trust meds more than myself, but my doctor wants to see at least a week's worth of readings before she makes a decision. I like her and trust her. So I'll go with her recommendations.
Congrats on your appt! That picture is so cute! I love the 3d pictures.

Boo! One could hope. Sucks >.< I hear you on the trusting meds more than myself... well...any chance that week ends BEFORE the holidays so you can have a little freedom for dinner or treats via the meds? My thoughts are with you and sending my sympathy! Thanks on the kind words! One side effect of being "high risk" for the blood clot has been the extra pictures, I'm not going to complain toooooo much now. But maybe when I'm injecting Lovenox or whatever for 6 weeks -.-
