Friday spam

Wahoo it is Friday!

What's up ladies? Anything fun this weekend?
Love is like infinity: You can't have more or less infinity, and you can't compare two things to see if they're "equally infinite." Infinity just is, and that's the way I think love is, too.

  • Hi ladies,
I have a HUGE meeting today that I have been stressing about for weeks. It cannot end soon enough. My friends are throwing me a shower this weekend. I am super excited but also ready to relax and I am sure there will be some stress involved. SO happy it is Friday! Have a great day everyone!
  • MIL canceled her trip up here because SIL and baby daddy have decided to move 2 months earlier than planned. Next week's focus will be mailing out all of my IL's presents that I normally would have just had shipped there.

I'm up because DS woke up crying at 5:30. He was upset that he peed in his over night diaper and refused to go back to sleep. He insisted on getting naked, taking a bath and, by the end of that, he was ready to face the day. The only downside is that he's refusing to use his words because he's tired.

  • I've been so paranoid about pre term labor because of so many people at work taunting me that I'm going to go early... I woke up with pains in my stomach. It was just gas. False alarm, everyone. Shove it, coworkers

  • I really don't want to work today. Bleh. At least it's Friday and almost the weekend. I really hurt my hip vacuuming on Thursday and can barely walk. Dr said just have to wait it out and wait for it to get better because it's a pulled muscle. This weekend we are having our Christmas movie marathon and IL family Christmas. I don't want to go to the family Christmas because DH's bat shit crazy cousin will be there. Wow I'm full of complaints today sorry ladies.

@jennjilljoite‌ hopefully he will take a nap today so you can get some rest too!
  • I'm tired this morning but just keep telling myself I can sleep the day away tomorrow if I want.

Plan for tomorrow is organize and wrap presents. I can't take the pile anymore. DH is going to get the dresser today so my guess is he will put it together tomorrow.

He's playing golf Sunday so I think it may be a baby shopping day for me. Not really clothes but a lamp and other stuff for the room.

    Is today over yet?

  • @jennjilljoite‌ oh trust me, they're dicks to begin with. My maternity leave has a "plan" but I don't think they're truly prepared for my leave. I've done everything on my end, they just have no backup for if I do leave early. I think that's why they talk about it so much. It's giving me a complex tho. My mom was early with her first, but only by 3 weeks

  • God I still need to wrap presents :(
This weekend I have no plans other than trying to get my house clean before DD goes on CHristmas break. If my house is still a wreck by then theres no chance of getting it clean.

I'm going to aim to take a nap today, get laundry done, get kitchen cleaned, and start on getting more of DD's old stuff taken out of the closet.

  • Morning lovies!!! Woke up at 4am with the worst headache and vomiting everywhere baby felt movement so I guess he thought it was time to get up he was ready to play I'd place my hand to where he was then he'd move and do the same thing. Finally dozed back off at 530 only for my alarm to go off at 730 now I feel like a zombie and I'm supposed to go shopping with my dad ugghhhh today will be great I'm claiming it
  • Morning ladies. Sounds like many of you have had a rough night! I'm sorry :(

@racheltherose‌ your coworkers can shove it! That is awful!

@jennjilljoite‌ I don't know who I feel worse for you or your ds. I suppose it's a good thing that he knows wetting the overnight diaper is a bad thing.

@pitdigger‌ yay for finding the wedding ring!

DH had a terrible nights sleep. I feel so bad for him. He's desperately trying to sleep in the lazy boy now.

In other news, I got all our Christmas cards ready last night and literally have 1 left. I hope I didn't forget anyone because I do actually want to keep one for us (like a scrapbook thing). Now I just need to lick them :( and bring them to the post office!

  • I keep telling myself that I should be proud of him for knowing better @MapleMomma‌. It's just so frustrating when there's so little you can do to help fix the problem.

I hope YH starts feeling better soon. It sounds like things have been rough on you lately.

  • Second night in a row my SO decided I didn't need any blankets so I grabbed my robe to sleep with. The good thing about it is I don't have to fight with him over the blanket all night the bad part is he doesn't seem to notice. Ha ha! He's lucky I still wake up at 4:30 to make him breakfast and lunch.
  • Good morning!  I am not going to jinx myself and say that I'm finally getting better...but....definitely less sick this morning then I have been.  I have been so miserable for the past few days and really unable to do anything at all.  Thank goodness DH has been helpful and done all of the cooking/dishes/cleaning/taking care of A while I laid on the couch and coughed and moaned.

I'm hoping I continue feeling good today so I can get some stuff done!  I have a final project due Sunday that I haven't started working on, I need to clean up our basement/playroom, wrap some presents, and do a shit ton of laundry.  Maybe if I'm feeling crazzzzzy I'll even leave the house, I haven't stepped foot outside for 3 days!

  • So so tired from the event last night.  So happy I had decided in advance to work at home. Didn't get up till 8:30.  I have a few more minutes before I need to be online.  As much as I had planned to exercise this pregnancy I really haven't since pretty early on and yesterday walked probably 2 miles + standing around/walking around the party.  Wiped out.  I'm taking 1.5 hours later today in " meeting"  which is really a massage  That should probably go in Friday confessions. So excited for it.

Izzy0927 that is so exciting.  Congrats! I got a super surprise raise like that earlier this year and it was just the best feeling.
  • @Hernsy‌ tell him to do it!

Off to DH's third holiday party tonight. This is getting expensive in the babysitting department.

@aggiebug omg I still have to figure out my Christmas presents. Luckily I don't have as many people to shop for this year, since DH's siblings have decided to enjoy an outing together in lieu of gifts...but that still leaves me with the people who are toughest to shop for!

DH told me he took the afternoon off today so he could join me for my appointment discussing my newly diagnosed GD--that was sweet and unexpected, and I'll definitely love the support as I try to take in all the new info. This weekend should be busy between checking out the local TotSwap consignment sale, writing out Thank You cards, and going on our hospital tour...and maybe some Christmas shopping lol.

  • @racheltherose‌ my coworkers sort of do the same thing. Every time I go in they say there's no way I'll make it to Jan 30th. They don't know anything.

@pitdigger‌ my DH lost his wedding ring before too. He lost it in the winter and a year later my BIL saw something shiny in the driveway and it was the ring! A week later DH was being stupid at work and put his hand in a vise, snapped the ring in half!

My spam for the day, I have my 32 week appt today and start my NSTs. Can't believe I'm down to weekly appts now! We're all getting so close!!
  • TGIF!

Just workout out and doing some laundry today, washing some baby clothes too.

THis weekend I want to head to the mall, finish xmas shopping and possibly go to get the mattress and a dresser for the nursery.

Woke up last night stressing about my to do list.  We have our birthing class on Sunday.

We leave on the 19th for FL and I have to pack which should be easy since I dont have much to wear at this stage in the nice weather.
  • Okay another coworker rant. My least favorite co worker isn't supposed to be in until 11am because she closes tonight, and she's already here... at 9:30. WTF I so did not want an extra hour and a half with her. On top of that, it REALLY pisses me off that she's able to rack up all this extra overtime when myself and my other co worker are not. AND she doesn't have to work Saturdays, which again, myself and my other coworker do. I'm fucking over her. I want to leave.

    End Rant.

  • Good morning, Lovelies!

So I called to work this morning and told them I got stuck in traffic, I would be a little late. Truth is, this mama wanted McDonald's breakfast. I am now happily eating my bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit and pancakes for breakfast dessert.

Tomorrow, I need to make a 1.5 hour trip to get my wedding ring fixed. I have to take it every 6 months for inspection, it is due now in December, but one of the prongs broke off. Thank goodness for the warranty.

Anyway, I hope you all have a wonderful day!!

  • nomnomasaur0426 That would irritate me! Luckily they don't really make size comments, they've commented that my belly has come to a point but they steer clear of the size remarks. I'm not really concerned about that, like you my OB says LO is measuring right on schedule and my gain is right on track. Luckily my devilish coworker is DONE with us on 12/23. 11 days. Not that I'm counting.

  • @pitdigger‌
My DH loses his ring all the time, too! He hasn't found it for the last few months. I'm kinda pissed (especially since I couldn't afford his fancy ring in the first place).

    @DBJackson25‌
Sorry about your hip! I strained the piriformus muscle over a week ago and I've been hobbling around in pain on a cane ever since because I was stupid enough to think I could "walk it off" and walked for hours through the pain. Please rest and don't make the same mistake as me!

@jennjilljoite‌ does that mean that DS is committed to potty training or do kids care about that stuff even when they aren't potty training?

    My spam:
My DH is gone for the next few days with my dog up to Vancouver. Normally I'd like the space and house to myself but normally the dog stays with me (can't this time because I still can't walk because of my injury, and the dog needs 2 hrs of walking/play a day to be happy). So I'm going to have the house to myself. This is both good (I can be a lazy slob) and bad (I'll have nightmares and won't sleep). Then I'm off to Van on Monday after I give my final exam to the uni students.
  • Good morning you lovely ladies!! Thanks for keeping me company yesterday while stuck in the hospital! You guys are awesome. DH didn't like the "morning :) I just woke up" text I sent a 9am CST.

Think I will have to send DH Christmas shopping bc we have NADA! And on top of that we also have to get birthday present(s) for DD since hers is Dec 30th.

SPAM- they sent me home on a low sodium diet.. Like I'm allowed only 2GM of sodium per meal. How the heck do I do that?? And my baby shower is tomorrow so I get to eat 0 of it.
  • Omg @mom2xover2002‌ !

I'm glad you're out of the hospital (yay) but 2 grams of sodium?! For real? Is that even possible? You can't even eat an apple!

Ok, that was my initial reaction. Then I googled sodium in an apple and found out that I wasn't factoring in the conversion! Lol. 2 grams = 2000 milligrams! Phew.

It is still going to be tough! I feel for you! I googled low sodium diets and a lot of stuff came up, hopefully that might help you. Sorry it is such a drag!
  • @Smyers2girls‌ Love it for the finding, not the snapping.

  • @CogDis‌ that was my thought too! The nurse was like well your DH gets to do the cooking now so enjoy it. Sorry nurse lady but he can't cook..like at all.

Supposed to BBQ tomorrow for the shower ugh...

GD momma's you have my sympathy at figuring out what to eat!!
  • @CogDis‌, apparently kids can initiate their own potty training and commit to it if so inclined. That's what DS did and he's been very hard on himself for accidents lately. It kills me when he cried because of a nighttime accident. He only started the whole process a month ago and is already striving for perfection. Poor kid.

  • So much I want to say but I'm mobile...and giving a spelling test to 9yo DS. ;) weekends are always super busy here and this one is no different. On the plus side, we are going to a real (lol) concert this weekend in the metropolis that's an hour and a half away. Whoot!! Never get to do that.

Teacher rant: My 17 yo DS came out and asked for his chemistry test. I said I need to grade his study guide first. He defensively says "I just did the whole module, I don't think I should have to do the study guide." Wait, what??? Because you didn't do your homework on time for the past two weeks, now you get to do LESS homework? How is that?!? Grrrrrr.
  • Is anyone else listening to Serial? Have we talked about it at all? If anyone else is as into as I am, I'll make a separate post for that...

  • @jennjilljoite‌ aww. That breaks my heart! I had no idea that kids would initiate it on their own. Crazy!
  • Me neither @CogDis‌ but I hope everyone gets so lucky. It was much easier to get it done than when I was trying to initiate the process.

  • @CrazyCornball‌

Thank you for the ring link. I'm actually going to buy some (yes more than one) for my DH. He'll be disappointed that I didn't shell out another $2000 but at least I won't lose another sh*t load of $$ that I don't have.
  • @CrazyCornball  I'm just not that fussed about it anymore.  I mean, in 4.5ish years of marriage he's not worn a ring for close to 2 of them.  I mostly find it funny that it randomly turns up in clothing and luggage.
