Back Pain PSA

Ladies, oh my goodness! I was in the worst pain I've ever had. I could barely walk and I was walking sideways. My OB suggested seeing a chiropractor, and I was super skeptical. Tylenol, heat, and ice were doing nothing for me. I finally broke down and saw a chiropractor on Saturday, and saw him for a follow-up yesterday. I FEEL LIKE A NEW WOMAN! He said I shouldn't need to see him again until the very end when I may have pain from my hips shifting. My insurance covered it, so I paid a total of $50 (two $25 co-pays) for this insane relief. I was worried about adjustments during pregnancy, but this chiropractor actually adjusted his own wife through her three pregnancies so that made me feel more okay with it. I have been seeing a ton of you guys with the same type issues I was having, so I wanted to share my experience. It is totally worth taking the time to try it. I'm sure I won't be perfect and I will still get aches and pains, but my quality of life has changed so much over the past few days. Please give it a try!

Re: Back Pain PSA

  • I'm convinced I'd die without my chiro.

  • I don't know why I was so crazy about seeing one while pregnant--I was being a babycenter crazy I guess!
  • I love my chiro. I have to say since I've been seeing her I haven't had a migraine. She's also managed to fix my husband's knees, and he used to think he would have to have surgery to fix them. They do great work.

  • I've had success with them before, but I had convinced myself that it could hurt baby. Ridiculous, I know. So glad I got over it and went! So many people who are on narcotics alone could truly benefit from chiropractic care! Not dissing medicine at all, but I do strongly believe in complementary care.
  • I go every two weeks! Chiro care is very safe for you and baby for a trained doctor, which most of them are. Find one with a LMT and you can have insurance cover massages too!
  • @krystaloowho‌ that is exactly what I did. I was frantic to get an appointment once I got to the point that I was at. Hopefully you will get as much relief as quickly as I did!

I've been going for a while now and it's really helped me stay comfortable and keep my energy level up. Not sure what I would do without it.
  • I feel you. I had really bad pelvic pain right around 14 weeks and was really worried about the duration of this pregnancy. I started weekly PT which did nothing. Then I saw a Dr. Of Ostropathic medicine (similar to a chiro but went to med school) and my pelvic pain is almost gone. I wanted to cry with relief when that happened.
