Just for fun!! It doesn't quite feel like Christmas for me until I've lazed on the couch and laughed at National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation like I haven't seen it a gazillion times!!

Nightmare is the perfect all year movie. I love four Christmases. It's so funny. Gotta love home alone and I'm guilty of watching the worst ones when they come on tv- total holiday season guilty pleasure.
For some reason I like to watch the first Harry Potter at Christmas too
The HP movies always came out around TG/Xmas, yes? That would make sense.
That's true, most of them did! Plus in the first one they do celebrate it.. I think it has something to do with the fact that it's better to watch in the cold weather, in my weird mind lol

I love all the old school claymation movies, Rudolph, Frosty, Santa. Also, any Charlie Brown holiday movie. And Home Alone!
Also I know this is UO, but I only recently saw Christmas Story so I don't get all the hype...maybe it's something you had to grow up with.
I'm not on the Christmas Story crack wagon either... I don't get it! :-/ lol

Miracle on 34th Street! I also enjoy many of the corny hallmark Christmas movies. Oh, and you can't forget Charlie Brown. I love the Charlie Brown Christmas movie!
My Christmas movies are Rudolph, Frosty the snow man, a year without a santa clause, and Edward Scissorhands. If I don't watch them it's just not Christmas.
Home Alone and Home Alone 2. A Christmas Carol, any version. Christmas Vacation. Elf. I also love the claymation ones but I haven't seen those in years.
Muppet Family Christmas (1989 TV version, not the DVD copy)
Claymation Christmas
Gremilns
I HATE a Christmas Story. DH bought it for me one year... he's an ass.
@slweaver0626 Yes yes yes to the Garfield Christmas Special and Muppet Family Christmas! I also really have a soft spot for Christmas Even on Sesame Street (especially the Ernie/Bert/Mr. Hooper Gift of the Magi).
What's the difference between the DVD and TV versions of Muppet Family Christmas though? I don't know that I've ever seen the DVD version, but since the VHS tape I had access to is now gone, the DVD version may be the only one I can get...
@tmorash The original TV airing has more footage and has the penguin christmas caroling and the I'll Be Home for Christmas by Miss Piggy when she arrives by dog sled. When they put the show out for commerical sale they didn't have the rights to use that footage and it had to be cut out.
Re: Random! What's your favorite Christmas movie?!
And a Christmas story is a close second

And Love Actually.

And we ALWAYS watch Its A Wonderful Life on Christmas Eve night when its on. I can't watch it at any other time.
Also cheesy romantic Hallmark Channel movies. My DVR is full of them!
Favorite Live Action: Jingle All the Way, and Home Alone 1 & 2
I also love Emmet Otter's Jug Band Christmas. It is (was) our family tradition to watch it every Christmas Eve.

I've never seen a Christmas Story or Christmas Vacation all the way through. I think you need to grow up with those to appreciate them.
I like Christmas Story but don't love it. I like both of the Miracle on 34th Street movies.

Me: 35, He: 41. Baby #1!
It's a Wonderful Life, Elf and White Christmas.
One that I wish was available in its original form (or was ever aired) is Muppet Family Christmas. At least it is available on YouTube,
