  • Ladies thank you all for your kind words this was a nice supportive group to be a part of during such a difficult time for all of us it's nice to have other than can relate to our pain and suffering dealing with IF. For those of you who finally ended up with you BFP I am so happy for you and wish you all a wonderful 9months ahead and congrats again. For those that are still waiting to get your BFP, I hope we all get ours in 2015 and hope to be cycle buddies again in the future. AFM: I am still being monitored until my beta goes down which it has stopped dropping so now I have to go in for another ultrasound to see what is still attaches to my uterus and they said I will most likely at this point need to get a DNC to help things along. At this point t I just want this nightmare to end so my menses comes back and we can try an FET. The whole feeling pregnant still and not being is very painful.

  • Hi Ladies!! I don't know how to do goodbyes so I will say so long. I am going to miss you all dearly. The love and support from this group has been amazing.Especially because I almost didn't go thru with it due to my husband's battle with cancer.
Thanks @mariana81‌ and @cwoodward777‌ you two ladies have been my biggest cheerleaders even when everything seemed south for you. My heart and my prayers will forever be with you. May God bless you in all your endeavours. If ever in Dallas :D look me up (hugs).
  • I feel like this is never going to end, I had to get an ultrasound today and they found a 7mm possible fetal pole in my right tube! They said it could be an epioptic pregnancy and due to the size I will have to have my tube removed, tomorrow I have to go in for a DNC then they will determine the tube thing. Hoping it was just a big cycat or something that broke which they said could have also caused the severe pain I was having. Has anyone gone through this? I feel like the news keeps getting worse, does anyone know the amount of time you have to wait to try again after somethig like this?

  • Thank you both. Update: my Dr's are concerned that my tube will rupture any time now and I will have severe internal bleeding which can be fatal so they are performing a DNC tonight at the hospital along with removing my entire right tube at the same time. The size of the mass is 7.2by5.5. I've literally been waiting for the hospital to call all day today, haven't eaten since yesterday at 5pm. I can't believe this is all happening. I will have to stay the night at the hospital

  • @marissa6609 I'm so sorry about your epiotic pregnancy too, did they have to remove your tube? How was the recovery time? @mrscsw thank you for checking in on me. I got released from the hospital last night I was so nauseas still am and in a fair amount of pain. When they went in things were much worse than they expected my tube had already ruptures probably 1 1/2 weeks ago when I was in extreme pain and they found internal bleeding that I was having from it, they said I'm very lucky to still be here with the internal bleedi g. It sounds like my body protected me by creating some type of barrier around the internal bleeding keeping it contained. The pregnancy had started to grow on internal organs, ovaries etc. the surgeons were able to separate and remove the pregnancy. They don't think they damaged any of my organs, the tube had to be removed and they also did a DNC. I have three incursion on my tummy and praying for a quick recovery and that they got everything. I have to get my betas rechecked as prior to the surgery they were going up instead of down.

  • @cparker1 - I am so glad you went in when you did! My recovery was ok. I would say the first 3 days I was in a fair amount of pain which the tapered off. I took one week off work to recover both mentally and physically. My Dr saved my tube but we are not sure how well it functions ( we moved on to ivf to reduce the chance of another ectopic - mine was from iui). It took about 6 weeks for my betas to drop to 0, which took a toll on me because each weekly test I was reminded of what was going. I hope you are able to take plenty of time to recover from all of this. I am so glad to hear they got you into surgery just in time! I would say you have a heck of a guardian angel :) Good luck with your recovery - if you have questions do not hesitate to ask.

  • Thanks ladies I took today off work and will take tomorrow off as well, I'm going back in Wednesday. I have a lot if shoulder pain and of course pain when I sit, bend etc. also when I breath it hurts on my right side. Did you experience this as well? I am sad they weren't able to save my tube be seeing it ruptured there was nothing they could do. @Marissa6609‌ do you remember how long until you got your first menses after surgery and was it normal when you got it? My first beta post surgery is this Friday along with a post op app.

  • @cparker1 - the shoulder pain was the worst part for me. Use a heating pad it really helped. Unfortunately I had shoulder pain on and off for about 2 weeks :( Regarding my cycle, I think I might be the abnormal one here. I got my period 2 weeks after surgery which was exactly when I would have had it if I had never been pregnant. Then again 4 weeks later which was right about when my beta was back to 0. I know others didn't get their period for up to 6 or 8 weeks, so it really seems to depend on the person. I give you props for going back to work on wednesday - take it easy :)

  • @marissa6609 thank you so much for all the Information it's nice to have someone to speak with that's been through something similar, and I'm sure it's painful for you to talk about so I'm really sorry for making you think about what happened I know how heartbreaking it is. I will try the heading pad to see if that helps thanks for the tip. I would have been 8 weeks 1 days pregnant today so I think that means my normal period would had started yesterday. I do have bleeding right now but I'm not sure if that from the surgeries or not.

  • @cparker1 - I don't mind the questions or talking about it at all... feel free to ask whatever whenever. For what it's worth, I don't think the drs call bleeding your period until after your beta is 0. However since mine was on schedule and exactly like my normal period ( flow, duration) I called it my period. Post op I spotted for a day or two but not enough to even fill a pad, which suprized me, I had expected more discharge. Let me know if the heating pad works... it was a lifesaver for me.

  • @marissa6609 so far the heating pad is healping, thank you again for recommending the shoulder pain is the worst. I'm still feeling lots of nausea from the meds and anesthesia it always does that to me, I'm trying to eat but don't have much of an appetite. it sounds like I will have to wait two months accordingly to my fertility dr until we can do a FET but I'm wondering if that two months means two full normal cycles or just two months. I have to admit I am a little nervous that I might get another epiotic pregnancy now and I'm sure the first sight of bleeding will be very concerning for me but I'm going to pray that doesn't happen next time, it's such a small percentage of risk so I'm sure I will be fine but still scary. @kristyn831‌ thank you for the well wishes, I'm hoping my recovery goes smoothly and as quick as it can.
