Which one of y'all is dropping by my house to make some of that wrapping magic happen for Christmas this year? Pretty please?
@SaltyH2O - I've done if for my grandmother and a few friends. If you lived in Ohio, I would be glad to! ***All I ask is you bring me whatever my latest craving is for the day. Right now...it's French fries!
Salty can't pick up the French Fries alone! They'll never make it to your house.
@AlwaysLastZZ - Haha! Didn't think about that. NEVER send a pregnant woman out to fetch food! DH learned that lesson when he sent me out to get us Wendy's, and I ate my fries and part of his.
Not sure if this is UO because all of my friends in college agreed with me but I HATE HATE HATE the Christmas Shoes song. I want to stab my eyeballs whenever I hear it.
Yes it is a sad story...yes I feel bad for the kid in the song...but once you hear it, it is stuck in your head for an eternity. I had gone this long without hearing it until last night I heard all of three words on the radio and that was it. It's nothing but Christmas Shoes in my brain. GO AWAY CHRISTMAS SHOES.
Because I'm craving it....Sauerkraut is delicious and I'd eat it everyday (if I wouldn't explode from the bloat/gas it causes)
Oh my gosh agreed. Now I want a Reuben or just a bowl of Sauerkraut. Dang you and our similar tastes and cravings! Last week you got me on sushi, which I still have not had!
Had a Reuben last night and it was heaven on a plate....plus the fries didn't hurt either
My UO- I hate the Christmas song " Baby it's cold outside". Has anyone else ever noticed that he's basically singing about date rape? She keeps trying to leave and he keeps trying to give her more drinks? And then she says "say-what's in this drink?"
YES!!!! I noticed this when I looked up the lyrics doing a Christmas music research paper (in 12th grade). I was like....dafuq is this man trying to do?!?!
This is not an UO but maybe a UA - unpopular action. I was tired of not having ideas to give people at Christmas so I made a pinterest board called "Presents for me". I pinned to it all year - hopefully it will be taken advantage of this year.
I didn't think this would be an UO, but judging by some of the other comments, it might be
I love giving gifts. I love really thinking about the gift and maybe even surprising my husband, my son, my nieces or nephews on Christmas. I don't find this time of year stressful at all. It's like the thrill of the hunt, for me.
The idea of saying "everyone just buy your own gift" is so depressing to me. It's like sucking some of the magic out.
If you were a teenager when these bands were popular, you probably had an opinion on this subject!
BSB for life!!!!
So much better than N-Sync.
I lived in Sweden when boy bands were just starting to get big and popular. There was a band called FIVE that I was beyond obsessed with.

Agreed! Finding the perfect gift for someone is one of my favorite parts of Christmas!
We do the four gift thing.
Need: DS is getting a whole new bed set for his big boy bed.
Want: He's getting the entire Paw Patrol set. 5 pups and their vehicles.
Read: Little Blue Truck book set
Wear: New jeans, shirt, socks, underwear and Christmas pajamas.
It is only four gifts wrapped though.
I'd consider that one gift (the paw patrol stuff).
I do too because what's one without all of them?".
Same. We've found Marshall, Chase, and Rubble but I can't find Skye or Rocky! They are like $13 in Target, but $40 online!

Maybe this in itself is a UO--but I was in middle school when this was a thing and I couldn't tell the difference then, and I can't tell the difference now. The only song I'm sure was from one and not the other is Backstreet's Back. Or is it called Everybody? I don't know.

Team N'Sync, but I did love BSB too. So no shade from me. I've loved Justin Timberlake since his Mickey Mouse Club days.
NKOTB for LYFE!! The rest are just copies in the shadows
Shoot! I didn't even want to bring up NKOTB. I was OBSESSED. And I have to admit I still clean house to some NKOTB. I do love NKOTB more than N'Sync. I'm with you there.
@OnceInLoveWithAmy I had trouble with only Marshal. I got them at a regional store called Meijer. I found him at the same box store but in a different town. Now the only one I don't have is Everest but I don't think she's available yet. He's not really much into toys and prefers "doing things" like play dough and blocks but he loves the show. I think he is going to like them for that reason alone. I hope they get him to pretend and make up stories more.

@DawnLilly-- whoa whoa whoa... who is this Everest you speak of? Dear lord, please don't tell me I am missing a member of Paw Patrol!

I was just thinking this when I heard it on the radio today. I think it also sends the message that women are weak and just need to be "convinced" and/or drugged. NO.

I LOVED Five!! (5ive?)
Hey! I remember them! I liked them too. I don't know why there was such a BSB vs. N'Sync rivalry back in the late 90's/early 2000's. I actually like a lot of stuff by N'Sync but I never "admitted" it as a teenager because of Boy Band loyalty. I swear it was a thing.
I lived in Ireland as a teenager and was in love with 5ive!! I also loved Westlife.
@ramy3 I was so obsessed with Westlife for a while - I still have all of their CD's and listen to them a lot. I was in love with Mark
@sarahchrismck my son may or may not have the same name as one of the members of Westlife. He's not technically named after him, but I did like the name because of the guy.
@ramy3 Well you chose well then - those guys all have great names!

BSB FTW!!! I totally went to their concert in Denver. Remember their "Everybody" video? Classic!!
I was OBSESSED with BSB!! I actually played some of their songs for DD (she's really into music) and she loved it! But I think I'm in the minority-I loved N Sync too-just not as much
@OnceInLoveWithAmy yes, they added another dog. Apparently there were things said about the male/female ratio by parents online and they added another dog. I haven't seen any of those episodes yet but she is a Husky.
Well, you are right about one thing... that is an unpopular opinion (I kid I kid)
Confession: I totally know the dance sequence to Everybody. Don't hate.
Confession II: the idea that there are people on this board who weren't teenagers when these groups were popular makes me feel super old.
You want to feel old? My husband works with high schoolers, and the kids entering high school this year were born in 2000.
:-S omg.
holy hell. 2000 was 14 years ago.
::hangs head:::
But in my head it was only like 7 years ago...that counts right?
I still round down to 2000 as being the "present" when I'm trying to figure out when stuff happened. So basically since middle school everything happened yesterday. Which is what it feels like, TBH.

She only does shit in the snow when they are out in their giant Paw bus or whatever it is called. I don't think she is in the lookout ever.
I feel bad for Zuma. Dude never gets any action. Freaking Chase is always on the case.
Hello we have 17 episodes of Paw Patrol in the dvr currently.
I don't know why but this seriously almost made me spit out my drink. DD loves Paw Patrol but I haven't seen any new ones since we canceled satellite.

How old must I be if I feel no connection to these groups because they came out AFTER I was in that demographic?
