Huge rain storm hit us yesterday, lost power at home around 4am this morning, had to shower and get ready my lantern light this morning...that was fun. Now sitting at work, extremely bored. Storm is supposed to continue long into tonight. Hooray for living in Northern CA today.

I can't handle my coworker today, I've turned my pregnant snark towards her. She has complained her way out of working Saturdays, leaving myself and one other person to work them. She is now complaining because we have her closing on Fridays, since she refuses to work Saturdays. I'm sorry, I left my compassion and caring at home today.

The Shower ideas thread totally has me confused. I'll dumbly admit that I can't tell if it is a joke or not.

Also MH woke up, wants a fried ham steak from the bottom of the freezer and told me not to burn his tator tots.

To top that off he keeps telling me that he doesn't have enough money to buy me the camera I want for Christmas (500-800). (we have our own discretionary funds). BUT he just spent $800 on the '76 Dodge Warlock he's restoring and wants to buy an fing camo recliner. Camo is NOT going in my house.

I may bring him to his mothers later.

@pitdigger If you are ordering from Babyleggings.com (and sister companies) my SIL taught me something about them. If you start your order but dont finish it, they will email you asking you to finish your order but they offer you a lower shipping rate even with the free items.

And: Yup, right on over to his mom's house. Although I feel like I sound like him sometimes lately, namely telling my husband not to overcook my steak the other night, which he grilled outside in 30 degree weather. You and my husband are saints.

He also asked me to cook him rice. Well, dear, all the rice in the house is now in.the rice bag I made you at 2am. So, No.

@FlutterofYoshis I'm sorry about your diagnosis. Everything you're feeling is totally normal, and if you want some support (and food ideas), be sure to check out the GD check-in on this board. @PeaceofKia starts it on Tuesdays but people tend to post all week. I've found it really really helpful in terms of what I needed after my initial freakout, which is how to get a grip (not saying that's what you need, but it's definitely what I needed!).

I'm about to sound like a newb here with my symptom bitchin'::

Since my swim this morning, the southern hemisphere of my bump started to hurt. I'm feeling a dull cramp in my vagina like a minor period bloat. Right now LO is kicking up a storm which makes the pain a bit sharper. Totally not having a good day. Why isn't it Friday yet?

They just look super adorable with the diapers and make it so much easier to change. A lot of pants fit weird with fluffy bums in them so I thought it looked nicer to show off the fluff and baby still had protection with the leggings

I thought I was safe from the flu outbreak at my school, with the exception of an annoying respiratory infection, but it turns out a kid at our school has the MUMPS. And yes, I know this student. Through my blood test early in the pregnancy, it was found out that although I have had the MMR vaccines, my body rejected them and I am not immune. So now I am freaking out that I have the mumps. I called the doctor and waiting for a call back this afternoon.

That's sucks! Too cheer you a bit Dr. Google says in 2nd/third trimester there shouldn't be issues. Beyond being sick.

@musicgirl524 Thanks. I'm looking forward to the appointment tomorrow--it'll help to feel like I can do something proactive.

@crabigator Thanks for the suggestion, I also went right to that thread after my initial freakout. It did help give me some ideas as to what to eat in the meantime before my appointment, and that helped. Got through today's rehearsal, so at least that felt like a win I needed today.

@holachicaa Wow yeah the mumps thing would freak me out as well; I think you were wise to call your doc just to be safe--I hope they can give you some good news so you don't have to worry about dealing with that!

So I def bought some baby legs with that code!

How do I brush my mothers request for photos off?

She sent DD her box fo christmas stuff. I knew not to take photos or videos of her opening it because my mother sends really age in appropriate stuff to DD.

My mother sent her toys designed for 3 year olds this year. My mother asked me and asked me before she bought stuff what does DD like. I told her she likes barbies, to likes our generation girls, make up, and anything frozen related.

Not to be ungrateful but every holiday she sends Hailey a box not age appropriate stuff. I've talked to my mother about it and to look at the packaging and make sure it says 6+ or 7+ but she still doesn't. DD will never play with the stuff that was sent to her shes to old.

So how can I brush her off when she asks for photos of her opening the stuff? If I did take photos her feelings would definately just be hurt.

Wow Audrey is moving around so much and pushing out on my belly so hard it is bizarre.

I can feel her running her foot along the inside of my stomach.

I do NOT remember feeling this with Ella.

It is super cool but also kind of strange.

Headed back from nyc event....adding to my celebrity meets from that thread the other day, I now have a picture with the property brothers. Took it for my boss who couldn't go. They are SUPER tall. Also Nigel Barker (from americas next top model) was there and I really wanted to rub his bald head. These kindof parties are super weird. Good food and drinks though!

@Lizzybean - yeah this LO moves in a totally different way than the first. I blame it on the anterior placenta I had with my first...well and also this one is sitting breech for the time being. Feeling her head up in my ribs is quite strange.

Yeah I was thinking of finding someone with kids the age the toys are appripriate for and giving them to them.

I'm still working on trying to clean out her clothes that don't fit from last winter. But I've been so tired I started that last weekend and didn' finish. SO maybe before christmas I will find someone to give all the stuff to.
