Well since I have nothing better to do than lay around in a hospital bed all day long and mobile bump let's hear your spam!

Still in the hospital after my appointment yesterday bc my bp was high. So here we are... LO moving around all night jut enough to make the monitors go off bc they can't find her. Seriously 15-30 minutes after they readjust the belts to find her she moves again. And me just laying here unable to do anything.

Up again at 4 this morning. Ugh. I took the bus to work this morning to avoid the 10 cm of snow on the roads. People are awful drivers and it's not worth the risk.

At my 32 wk prenatal, waiting in the doctor. I swear, they are more late with the first patient of the day than if you come in mid morning.

I've got an event in NYC tonight that could be fun, could be just really exhausting. On the plus side, Its an invite only type of thing (celebrities, press, ect) and I got my best friend on the list so I don't have to brave it alone. I haven't seen her in a few months, so excited about that. I also told her yesterday she has to take a shot every-time someone makes rude/inappropriate comments about the bump (Of the omg you look ready to pop variety). She is totally down to get sloppy. Should I come up with something else in case of unsolicited bump touching? Haven't come up with anything good yet. Its bump bingo, but in real life!

Another thing to add...a vent

This week I agreed to act as a supervisor. Someone showed up 2 hours late the other day and said nothing to anyone. So I had to call him out on it. His response was, oh I don't keep people's numbers to call in I just self manage my time. I felt like I was going crazy, how does someone think this is remotely okay?!?! You work in a unionized government position NO ONE manages their own time like that. Everyone has someone to report to or notify. What an asshat!

My staycation starts today!!!!!!!! No work until Monday (I work m-sat) going to relax be lazy then do some cleaning my dad and stepmom are coming to visit from Alabama haven't seen my dad in 2 years and stepmom in 4 hopefully they'll spoil my son and I to pieces as it may be awhile before we see them again also my dad has never seen me preggers so it should be interesting how he will react

Just got back from my appointment. Everything is going very well, totally on track.

The best news though! The OB I saw today is my least favorite of the team. She is rude and comes across as cold. Her bedside manner is not very good. She's competent, which is really what matters, but she is the only doc I have not really jived with.

Turns out, mean doc is pregnant! She's 34 weeks!!!! Unless I go super early, there's no way she'll be on call to deliver me! I feel like singing!

I haven't been on in a while- work has been insane, I've been swamped with Junior League, and renovations and baby prep is making me pull my hair out. I had my shower last weekend and it was so nice- it was totally perfect, but a little overwhelming so see so many people I don't get to see that often and have to squeeze all the catching up, eating, and opening presents into 4 hours.

My spam -- headed to my godchild's Christmas band concert tonight. He is in the advanced band and they are pretty good. But we have to hear the recorder class, and then the lower band. It is adorable but I can only hear Hot cross buns so many times before I go crazy.

But good news -- our dresser came in!!!! YAY! Now I can actually organize myself and really make it look like her room before christmas. I want to have it pretty much decorated etc by then since our whole families come over to us for the holiday. I know everyone will want to see it.

My husband and I took over a mint chocolate pie to our new neighbors last night. We got to chat for a few minutes and meet their 2- and 5-year-old kids. The 5-year-old is such an outgoing little guy. As we were leaving, he gave us pieces of cheese for the road.

Not the best night of sleep, though. The Tdap vaccine soreness kept me from sleeping on my right side, and my left hip got very sore. I'm working at half-speed today.

I'm taking a long lunch today at Nando's.

have a day care tour tomorrow. This day care is ~$100 cheaper/month than our current top contender (equivalent everything else on paper at least) - however, it is just far enough away from public transportation and our house that one of us (doing daycare drop-off and pick-up - also making it impossible for us to trade off this duty if necessary) would have to drive to work - which neither my H nor I currently do. The cost of a parking permit at my work (the cheaper option) is ~60/mo, add in gas etc. and it is basically a wash. We are still going though.

this always really grinds my gears. totally get why it happens later in the day, but wtf? i can get up early and be on time and they can't?

I've still been lurking everyday but not posting as much. My anxiety has come back full fledged, which sucks. I haven't had panic attacks since I went back in my meds after the first trimester. I'm just so stressed out over this new landlord taking over. We've been here for 5 years and been great renters. Never once missed a rent payment. She wants us to sign all these papers I don't agree with. I can't sleep and I'm nauseous over the whole thing. I really wish the right house for us would pop up on the market. Anyone has time to send out some good thoughts or prayers that we find one soon would be awesome. And sorry to be a downer this morning.

@holachicaaa‌ we live in Missouri. And I don't really think our rights are being violated... Yet. There are just some things in the lease that needs to be changed before I will sign it. Like saying we will pay $35 every summer for a propane charge when there is no propane tank here. That the house came with "about 8" curtains we are to return, which also is not the case. The house came with nothing. And she wants us to fill out a renters application which includes our SSN#s and bank account #s. I'm not comfortable with that. I'm not applying to live here, I already have for 5 years and never missed a rent payment. She said she's not running our credit. So what do you need my SSN# for?! She said for emergency contact info. I'm sorry... But NO! Thanks for the advice. I will look for a renters rights group and possibly call the BBB. We just need to get out of here!

The geek in me would like to point out that the extra gas/parking fees are not able to be written off on your taxes. I'm sure you knew that, but its just something to think about.

My Spam- today has started out good. DH got up, took a shower and we walked out to the barn together. Now he's down for a nap. So glad he's starting to feel better!

Last night was a little wild though, mil stayed the night again to help. She woke me up at 2am to ask if we had a rice bag for him. Of course we didn't, so what did I do? I got up, sewed one together and filled it with all the rice I had in the house. Problem solved.

@pitdigger‌ When I'm doing cloth diapers, baby legs are essential. I loved them. Right now I'm on a break from cloth and I prefer leggings because they stay in place better on my toddler. I never knew I'd love leggings so much but I'm addicted.

I'm not sure but I know my doc does rounds at the hospital before she goes up to the clinic. Possibly your doc has a legitimate excuse? Back when I was pg with #6 my doc was awful about being late and I almost switched. I could only go in the afternoon and I always waited an hour after my appointment time. I don't know what changed but by my next pg she was better. Now I rarely wait more than 10 min no matter what time of day.

My spam - It was confirmed today that I have gestational diabetes and I'm emotionally having a really hard time accepting it and getting over it. Every time I think of eating this morning I now I find myself crying--it's setting off anxiety attacks since I'm afraid of eating something wrong between now and meeting with a nurse educator tomorrow afternoon (yes, I know this is totally irrational, but my brain doesn't seem to be registering that I know that...the curse of anxiety disorders). I'm currently dealing with this privately at home, but I've really gotta get over this before this afternoon so I'm not embarrassingly bursting into tears for seemingly no reason while teaching theatre kids their audition music. The hills need to be alive with the Sound of MUSIC, not sobbing.

When a did cloth they were a must. I think I have one of every design they had, I haven't used them much since I stopped cloth but Dd will take her diaper off if she doesn't have pants.

My spam. Dd and dh are both sick, she has croup (thanks daycare kid!) And I have no idea what he's got. I'm trying to avoid them but I woke up with a scratchy throat and I think I'm doomed. We'll see how the day goes. We have birthday dinner for mil tomorrow and she'll be drama if we miss it. On the plus side bank of America sent my husband a random check for 100 bucks! We totally need the extra funds so I'm excited!

@mom2xover2002 - sorry that you have to stay in the hospital, I hope that Everything works out for the best. @pitdigger‌: I had to google baby legs and now I totally want some. My spam: today is the 'storm of the century' for the Bay Area and I am happily, cozy in the house. But I'm having more frequent BH and its kinda freaking me out (FTM panic here) I talked to my OB about it during my last visit and my 32 week appointment is tomorrow. For now I am timing them and they are less than 6x/hr, drinking plenty of water, and trying not to worry.
