Good luck today at your appointment @Stephcarter . I hope that everything goes well for you today! All fingers and toes are crossed and good vibes being sent!
I am trying to get emma out of the house to mom's club she is resisting. We need to get out of the house since we were inside all day yesterday and it is so cold and damp out.
It is icing unexpectedly right now. Trying to decide if I should pick ds1 up from preschool now before it gets worse or hope that it stops and warms up by noon.
Hey I just met you, and you're my baby. This is your family, we're kind of crazy...
I actually kind of am wishing for snow. It was in the 40s over the weekend and everything melted. Now it is just cold and wet and grey. I feel like snow would give an assist to a happy holiday mood. Plus, I can play with C in the snow. Not so much in the current ice swamp yard.
My kid is bursting with energy. I am not. Weekends are usually my time to pass the kid off on Husband and recharge. That didn't happen this weekend and I am already running on empty.
In other news, my kid is starting to differentiate colors, and a lot of the time she's right! Blue and green are her favorites, with purple coming up close as well.

We have been having unusally warm weather so far this winter. It has been 55 sometimes 59 for the last few weeks. I do miss seeing the snow that we normally have this time of year. It is suppose to snow a little bit on Saturday but I don't think it will stick around.
I am really kicking myself though on purchasing snow pants and snow boots for Wesley. If this weather keeps up I wont need them.
I just got Wesley a toy kitchen set for christmas for $19.00 from Walmart. I'm pretty excited about it! Its the Little Tikes Magicook Kitchen in case anyone else wants one.
edit: i tried to add the link and it wouldn't let me.
@mbm1983 my maternity leave is lining up with the opening of our new assisted living wing at work. Which means everyone who will be admitted there needs to be assessed within 1 month of admission. I am the only one who does my job and that can do these assessments. I told my boss the other day that I am concerned and think we need to look into hiring someone as my other half soon. My job is truly a full time job but I am only there part time anyway. If we had a 2nd RN that would take a ton of stress off me.
Also I feel like when I do go on maternity leave everything is going to go to shit that I have worked so hard to update. I feel like I wont be able to take the extra 12 weeks in addition to the 6-8 maternity leave weeks that NJ offers because I will be needed at work.
work has been crazy, bailey has been crazy, headaches have been crazy.
went to neuro today, we've got a new plan laid out and i have to follow up in a month.
when i get a headache, i usually wait for my migraine signs to take migraine meds(sound/light sensitivity, nausea) unless i get the aura because theres no way it won't be a migraine at that point. he told me that my bad headaches are migraines, even if they don't come with my defined migraine symptoms. New plan is to take aleve at the start of a headache. if it doesnt knock the headache down by at least 50% within an hour, take the migraine medicine. I've got to follow up in a month and see how things are at that point.
He said he isn't concerned that it might be a bigger issue since my headaches come and go, which was nice to hear.
He also said that there's an increased risk of blood clots in women on birth control who get migraines with aura, but he said he isn't concerned with that risk unless i've smoked, smoke, or start smoking. none of the above
Wesley is back to boycotting bedtime again. I just don't know what to do for him anymore. We are already two hours in and i just can't take anymore of the screaming!
Thanks ladies im calling the pedi in the morning. We start his bedtime routine at 8 its bath, pjs read a book or two or three then snuggle and e was asleep by 9-930. Now he starts freaking out after bath and i cant get him calmed down. He finally fell asleep at 1130 tonight but has been up.since 230. Its now almost 4 and we have already done tylenol and have been rocking for an hour.
So an update for you all!! We just got back from the pedi. I called the Pedi this morning when the office opened and she had me bring him right in as she had an opening. She checked him out and there is NOTHING wrong with him. No fever, his ears are fine no red throat nothing that she could see. She did mention that it looks like his top back molars are attempting to come in and to try some tylenol or mortin right before bedtime to see if that will help. She said to give it to him for a few days if it is helping him sleep. She did say that this could be a phase that he will hopefully outgrow in a few weeks.
I am actually hoping that it is those damn molars this time. I am not prepared for this to go on for a few more weeks. I finally got him to sleep around 530 this morning only for him to wake up at 715 ready for the day. I could hear him asking for his milk and muffins this morning like he had slept all night long.
I on the other hand am a walking zombie. Coffee is going to be my friend today. I dropped Wesley off at daycare and he went running in to go play with his friends like nothing happened. How can he look so well rested after hardly sleeping.
Thanks for letting me vent!! You all are the best! Coffee and cookies for all!!!
Hugs for all in molar hell with me! Wesley took a ten minute nap today at daycare so he has only had like 5 hours in the last 24 hours. We just started bedtime routine and i just gave him some Tylenol. Fingers crossed it worka and we all get some sleep tonight.
@NeedUtonite at wesleys daycare if they have no other symptoms then thwy get sent home with a fever of 101. If they have a cough, snotty green mucus and a fever over 100 then he will get sent home.
If i know he is teething i will let them know and the dirwctor will call me.if he starts getting a fever to see if they should administer tylenol or if i want topick him up.
