When I was pregnant with DS all I wanted was dr. Pepper (and canned spaghetti- like zoodles)! Haha so random for me.
As for the OP question: based on the title I would say "sleep", but since you specified food in the post, I will say cream of tomato soup and sweet and sour chicken lean cuisines.. Haha this baby is a strange one.
I wish I had cravings, I really have only had aversions. I do find myself making the same types of meals semi-frequently (ex: bagel with egg and cheese breakfast sandwich) not necessarily due to craving, but just cause I haven't decided I hate it (yet).
Sub sandwiches... Like cold cuts. Which I can't really have (at least not a lot) because of listeria. Buuuuuut I have fallen in love with Firehouse Subs because all their meats are heated AND they come with those yummy pickles! Mmmmm. Also, bagels. And not just because of the bagel thread that was going on earlier. I have been digging on some bagels and cream cheese for about six weeks.
Not really sweets, which is odd since I craved them ALL THE TIME prior to being pregnant.
Now, I just want some salty/spicy MEXICAN food. I've been to Taco Bell way more times that I'd like to admit to myself, my DH or my unborn child (well--she knows. SHE DEFINITELY knows). But after seeing that I've gained almost 10 lbs in the first tri...I need to cut back.
Sadly, no TBell this week. Just lower sodium/better-for-you taco salads at home.
Also, I'd love to find out down the road how many women craving the sweets end up having girls and the salty sours end up having boys! Something had to be said for this 'wives tale'!!
Pizza, clementines, soft pretzels and cream cheese, chips and guac, and pasta. Weirdly breakfast foods used to be a favorite of mine - now I don't really care for them at all. And my pre pregnancy sweet tooth has vanished.
Like a few others, I could chug glasses of milk all day every day. In fact, I started craving milk before I knew I was pregnant, which at the time I thought was odd. I'm going through a gallon a week by myself now. Also, pickles! Yum! And in first trimester, Fice Guys French fries and McDonalds strawberry shakes. Which normally, I hate all things strawberry.
Any and all fruit! Especially citrus!! The bad part is my german Shepard pup thinks I have to share with him( I do on occasion) milk which used to always make me sick. I lost my sweet tooth, sad day.
Panera always sounds amazing!!!! But biggest actual craving would be spicy V8. Can't get enough. I had a whole glass last night and half a bag of salt and vinegar chips and my DH was so grossed out! Lol
Everything has changed. Anything I didn't like before I can't get enough of like chinese and spinach. I couldn't stand it before. It's my two main cravings now. Funny thing is my FIL called on Christmas eve and said he just had to make an egg roll run for some reason. Well we were doing the exact same thing. He doesn't even eat egg rolls. I thought that was cute.
Hot cheetos! I used to not be able to tolerate them much before pregnancy, (unless I was absolutely craving them) but now, I could eat Hot Cheetos all day, err day. It's quite hilarious to me.. Now, when I eat hot cheetos, I feel baby moving around, and it makes me imagine the baby is super excited for them.
Fruit.... one week I ate 2 lbs of strawberries each day. Then it was peaches. Pineapple. Grapes. Fruit smoothies. Clementines. And now kiwi..... orange juice goes really fast in our house now.
I have so many cravings I can't pick just one. I've eaten a LOT of ruffles with french onion dip, sweet tea, pickles, ice cream, milk, pasta, fruit and chinese. It makes grocery shopping extremely difficult.
Now thanks you guys I need Dr. Pepper and hot cheetos (a combo I discovered a few years while deployed to Afghanistan with limited snack choices)!!!
Sour straws have been my biggest craving (but i was pretty obsessed pre-pregnancy too lol). Other than that, creamy tomato soup with chicken and orzo from Hale & Hearty. Just finished my lunch and wish i had another cup full to have
Re: What has been your biggest craving so far?
