If we somehow became wealthy enough that we could be "set for life" without me working, yes I would stay home, though I think I would end up doing some investing or work on my own terms.
If I actually *won the lottery* I wouldn't want anyone to know because of the weird way everyone acts about lottery winner's money, so I would keep my job for a couple years while building up some sort of credible side business as a cover for why I could afford to later quit without changing my lifestyle at all.
No effing way would I keep working if I won the lottery. I would never work again in my life. EVER. I would do fun volunteering things and play with my children and travel the WHOLE WIDE WORLD.
I'd quit and volunteer a couple days a week working with people with dementia. I'd maybe do a little consulting for the place I work at now, but man, my honesty about how to run things might mean that I wouldn't have that job for long. It is a non-profit though, so maybe they'd have to listen to me in hopes of getting some of my money.
Then I would hire all kinds of services - housekeeping, decorating for Christmas, meal prep, baking. It would be awesome.
DD would stay in daycare. Maybe we could afford to have another then too.

I don't play the lottery, but if someone gave me a ton a money, I would definitely resign and find a fun part-time job in my field. I SAH for 3 years, so I've already done that.
Re: S/O to stay or to quit - if you won the lottery tomorrow...
