Just starting a thread bc I'm bored, lol! Post a picture of your most recent baby purchase. It will allow some of us to ooo and ahh and others may get some new ideas!
We went to visit my alma mater this weekend and I just HAD to have something from the overpriced baby boutique across the street from campus. This was by far not the cutest thing there, but it was the most affordable:
Crib and dresser. I'm going to replace the dresser knobs with glass ones - probably from Anthropology.
Love that color! Where did you get them? I redid a nightstand for DS and used the animal brass knobs from Anthropologie. I'm hoping to do something similar for this baby with a dresser.
I'm embarrassed to admit I've bought nothing for this baby yet! I have mentally gone through DS1's infant wardrobe and also noted some things we will need to buy another of (like a second monitor, etc...). I'm feeling a little neglectful, I better get new baby something of his own soon!
@chinahyna it's still in the box, but I did sit in an identical one at the store and I liked it. I think it's hard to know if it'll have things I don't like about it until I actually have to nurse in it. But from my initial trying of it, I super liked it!
Right after finding out baby is a girl, I went & bought these Cute pink socks
Since then, I've gone a little nuts at baby gap..the best was 40% off & I used gap cash ($25 off every $50 spent) so it's like 70% off. Didn't mind grabbing full priced items
We bought this LOVE marquee sign to hang up in the nursery on a crazy cyber Monday deal at Kohls!! It's a Christmas decoration and not entirely baby but it is for her We used it for her gender reveal. I suppose buying something completely practical like breast pads needs to come next to make up for the random frivolity lol
Edit: I realized our last name was in the pic! Blurred out and posted again below

I'm in the same boat! No purchases yet. Since finding out I'm having another boy, I stopped worrying about clothes and toys, plus we already have the crib and other major furniture items. I still obviously need some things, but the rest can wait! (Right?!)
The difference on baby items you need between #1 and #2 is such a big gap that a post like this is hardly fair for STMs.... Unless you have trashed/gotten rid of (or are still using) everything from the first pregnancy. Other than the stroller cover I have literally not bought anything because it's all been hand-me-downs or stuff I got from attending baby TV show episodes or bump club events. With that being said- - go buy something for yourself for being such an awesome mom!
Hmm, well I'm a second time mom and I have a ton of stuff I need to get for baby, soooo...I guess everybody is different!
we bought a glider/rocker/recliner so far since I knew which one I wanted and that it would be on sale during the holidays. I'm a FTM, and will be having 4 showers in February...so I'm not buying anything else until then. We're trying to save for a house atm.

I just got back from target. I picked up a couple girly crib sheets
Excuse my messy table please!
But a couple weeks ago I went into old navy to look for a not so puffy winter coat for DS and found a bunch of super cute summery clothes for baby girl for super cheap. Like under a dollar cheap
I posted it on the diaper bag post already, but it's too cute not to post again. @RHoPA1109 I plan on getting that one as well. I wanted to have a black and brown bag. I've also bought tons of clothes and some room decor. I have a shopping problem.
I've ordered the crib skirt (etsy) and here are fabric swatches she sent me. It will be the argyle with the orange border at the bottom and a teal strip in between.
I purchased this old dresser from a friend who found it at a thrift shop for $30 so we antiqued it and made it all cute for my little mans room First photo is before/after,second is with new hardware and in his room.
I bought a used jeep stroller cause I only have a double and neither of my other kids ride in the double anymore. I like it though, it's supposed to be all terrain and I need one that's good for pavement and gravel and it has a mp3 hookup and like 4 cup holders and a little car wheel toy for when baby is older.

I agree! But I'm also curious if you're having the same sex as your first and also the age difference. Just for a reference!

No and 18 months, so yeah, there's that.
Ah ok. If I was having a girl this time, I would definitely feel more compelled to shop now, especially for adorable girl outfits! But having another boy means a lot of reusable stuff, at least for us!
Additionally, even if I were having another boy, complete opposite seasons, so I'm not sure how much of his stuff from the first year I could use anyway. Like my maternity clothes; I had to buy a whole new wardrobe for being pregnant in the winter rather than the summer.

My boys will be opposite seasons so I know I'll need to get a few shorts and whatnot, but my DS got a ridiculous amount of outfits that weren't season appropriate (so he never wore them) so we're still in good shape! Other people's bad planning is working in our favor! Haha
Us too! DS was an August baby so I know some of his stuff won't work but a lot should! I also realized with DS how little you need when they are brand new, so I just don't have the same urgency to "get all the things" right now that I had when expecting DS. Although I know if this baby was a girl I would have bought some clothes already cause, you know, girl clothes are too cute!
Stocked up on cute things for our under the sea nursery. If our lil girl decides she loves pink I'll suck it up & redo the room but, until she can say something about it cute whales, fish, teal, green, grey & white it is.
Don't get too excited about mine. I just ordered some thermal blackout curtains for the nursery. The colors in our nursery ar navy blue and light coral pink.
Love them!!! I'm wanting navy blackout curtains too, may I ask where you purchased yours? I'm trying to price match. TIA
