I am going to vomit on everything.

Zofran not working? Puking really sucks. You have all my sympathy.

I'm trying to limit my taking it because it stops stuff from coming out the other end, too.

Aw. The dreaded double edged sword.

  • No energy whatsoever, so I'm keeping my happy ass on the couch all damn day and not accomplishing anything.

I apparently developed an aversion to eggplant which makes me a bit sad because I made a big thing of eggplant parmagiana last night and MH won't touch it because he hates eggplant.

I have no appetite today. I just forced myself to eat some cucumber.

I think I might take a nap. Naps are good.

So nauseous and have diarrhea all the time. So cold and itchy.

You're itchy too? I've been super itchy and had no idea if it was the pregnancy or something else.

    So. Tired.

Also, we ordered pizza delivery a couple nights ago, which I normally love. I ate plenty but in terms of taste it was just blah. And my husband confirmed that it was actually good pizza.
  • Ahhhhh I've been hit by the cold bomb!!! This is a cruel joke. No one who is KU should get a cold that makes me feel less like eating and way more fatigued than I already did.

  • Frustrated here and need some advice from the experts. I have cramping that seems to be increasing in frequency. It's painful enough to keep me up at night, but not accompanied with any bleeding. I chalked it up to normal uterine stretching, but called my dr today just in case. The receptionist told me any cramping is abnormal and I need to go to urgent care. Even though I'm currently a patient at my OB, I have not been seen yet for this pregnancy, so they won't see me. Ugh... I LOVE my doctor, but I'm not liking the rest of her practice.

What can they do at urgent care? Has anyone been to urgent care for pregnancy related issues? I can't imagine they have ultrasound capabilities or would even have a clue what they are looking for? Maybe I'm wrong?
  • My husband thinks I am crazy to be this hungry so early in the pregnancy. I am glad to hear I am not the only one. All I want to do is eat !! Oh no
  • Got some dull aches in my lower abdomen, but thats it.  Making me very nervous.  Had my 1st Dr. appt today, waiting for beta result...

They can do an ultrasound to rule out an ectopic.  If you are in a great deal of pain and your doctor's office told you to go then I would definitely head to urgent care.

I have been to urgent care for pregnancy issues in the past and they were able to help me.  In general the staff are trained to handle a wide variety of issues.  I hope everything goes well for you.

  • Thanks @Baby1Dany‌ and @DaisyZH‌. That is encouraging that they could do an ultrasound. Maybe I'll call first and make sure they have that capability.

I would definitely call first and see if they have an ultrasound machine. If they don't they will likely just send you to the ER.

Yeah I've called all the urgent care centers in my area, nobody has ultrasound. Not sure what to do. The cramps aren't extreme. They are no worse than regular menstrual cramps, they are just getting old and happen mostly at night, which prevents me from sleeping. Not sure whether it's worth the ER, and quite honestly I'm so pissed with how my OB handled it that I can't think clearly.
  • @Baby1Dany‌ great point! I definitely have not been drinking enough water. That's at least an easy fix. :)

So bloated.  Using the hair band trick on the top button of my jeans today.  Still really tired too.
Oh yeah, busted out with the hair band trick earlier this week.  I've had to make sure I am wearing long shirts so you can't tell that's what I did when I raise my arms.

  • Nausea when I haven't eaten for 60 minutes, word recall issues, bloating like whoa (I actually signed on to see if anyone else is using a belly band yet - I'm not even 5 weeks quite yet, how can I already be so bloated???), and the thought of anything ever touching my nipples again makes me want to curl up and cry.

And yet, in spite of all this loveliness, I find myself being scared that I've miscarried again.
  • I'm still new here but hoping to get to know you all.

I stayed home from work & literally slept all day. I'm still tired, extremely nauseous, & have had a mild head ache today.
  • Ooh. I haven't nursed my baby since yesterday morning and I think I'm getting some nipple soreness. woohoo for some symptoms showing up!

@Terblondi Bloat solidarity! I broke down and wore a lose fitting shirt and a belly band to work. I'm almost 5 weeks but have bloat enough to look about 5 months. But hey, at least my pants are more comfy.
  • @Baby1Dany‌ I forgot to answer your other question. Yeah I could find another OB. I'm playing it by ear for now because I absolutely LOVE my doctor, I just can't stand her office staff. So it's a hard one.
  • I'm trying to find any natural remedy for nausea. With my first pregnancy I threw up multiple times a day due to nausea. This is my 3rd pregnancy (2nd one ended in a miscarriage at 4w3d) so I'm trying to find a natural remedy. Ginger absolutely grosses me out at the moment, but peppermint sounds refreshing. I found these tummy drops (seem similar to preggie pops) with peppermint oil in them. I'm wondering if any of you have tried them? Or know if peppermint is safe? Thanks for your help!
  • @jgesi - You've already gotten some good advice. But I personally like hearing when other people share my experiences... so that being said - Several days leading up to me finding out I was pregnant I had what I thought were bad menstrual cramps, that would get worse at night. I found out on a Sunday and the cramps continued for about 4 more nights. Same as you, they would wake me up, but I wasn't bleeding (granted I've been spotting since the cramps stopped, ironically). I really do think drinking tons of water has helped. Good luck and I hope yours stop soon!
  • My memory has gone to hell over the past week. I feel like I am going crazy and I'm having bad night sweats!

Thanks for sharing @megvaddi‌. I am going to hydrate over the next 24 hours. If still in pain I'll go to the ER just to make sure everything is OK and it's not an ectopic pregnancy or something.
  • I'm having really severe diarrhea. 15 times a day? It's hard to stay hydrated and full when you are constantly running to the bathroom. I'm starting to feel a bit worried. Anyone else?

I had that for a few days, I just made sure to drink lots of water and Gatorade too even though I couldn't keep anything in my stomach. It passed after a few days and now I'm constipated. Go figure.

My belly band was waiting on my doorstep from Amazon when I got home. I'm only 6 weeks, but I can't take buttons and zippers anymore.

  • Adding a new symptom which freaked me out. I sat down at my desk at work and I couldn't see clearly. Everything was fuzzy. I felt like I has been starring at a light and then looked away. I called my doctors office and I guess blurry vision can be an early sign of pregnancy. They told me to keep an eye on it and if I start getting a persistent headache to come have my blood pressure checked. Ugh
@runningmommy519 my vision changed drastically with my pregnancy with DS. The dr said it could improve once you finish breastfeeding or it could stay the same. Unfortunately mine stayed crappy! I was so surprised that that was possible.

Hiya! Yes, I would say peppermint is safe. I know you're saying natural, but if it's absolutely terrible you may want to ask your Dr for a zofran rx. It was the only thing that helped me last time around.

Yes, I had this for most of last week, although it didn't get really bad until Friday and Saturday. My OB said to take Immodium, and that worked wonders. Before the Immodium, it was so bad that even drinking water was triggering diarrhea almost immediately.

In addition to the Immodium, Gatorade is your friend. That and salty food.
