I was wondering why we were getting several all of a sudden. Now it all makes sense.

This happened on my other BMB, even when we switched to a social group, people who he we commented wanted to join. Some even said they would miss us when they introduced themselves. Which is really weird bc it reinforces the fact they had been reading about us and felt like they knew us, meanwhile we knew nothing about them. Only knew they existed in the abstract since this is a public forum and all.

In defense of the randos/lurkers (throwing myself in that group), I will say that for me I wish I was part of a fb group as I would be more likely to participate via mobile. Having said that - a fb group is more personal and so I totally get not wanting to give access to folks who you don't "know".

I think we all understand that some moms drop off or have become lurkers after babies have come. If people were active enough before then I would think they'd be fine joining. It's those people who don't ever post, are new, or have like 1-2 posts a month that are of concern. I, for one, recognize you so I don't think of you as a rando.

Hmm good question. I don't know, did you send a request? if you did and you don't have a message you can PM on here with your name if you want.

Yes, they have gotten them. In messenger there is an icon that shows either the messenger symbol or the FB symbol and I have gotten plenty of responses from both.

I'm annoyed with FB. It appears that ALL of my photos are still visible to the public even when I've changed privacy settings. I don't know that I want all of my pics accessible to people in the FB group. I might be out on this one.

You have to change the settings of every pic.

Yeah, ain't nobody got time for that...I wish we could all just stay on TB. I much prefer selecting which photos I'm comfortable with sharing. I hate FB anyway. I hope my friends in the computer will still play with me on TB.

Did you try changing them on each picture? That's how I have ended up changing the public setting on past profile and cover photos.

I have so many pictures. It would take me hours. Even if I had that much time available I don't think that I would want to do it.

You can change the privacy settings of each album all at once with the exception of timeline and cover photos. Those you do have to change individually.

I just read this and now I feel awkward, I had or have no intention of trying to get in on your facebook group (I agree that would be a bit weird and creepy) I only re-intro'd because I saw a few new intros and it made me think it was a good idea, and I'm bored of just reading and not commenting... Now I look like a massive creeper, bad timing!

No seriously you're cautious for a good reason. I've been really apprehensive about the Facebook too because I've actually had someone stalk my shit before. She still does sometimes and things I thought were private it's like noooope! Hopefully my stuff isn't visible to everyone. You should be aware, there are crazy ass people out there! This is why my daughter's photos aren't anywhere.You're the only person I've sent one to.

I appreciate the FB group being set up. I'm surprised by how many people are in it! I didn't realize we had 80+ posters still. I still like TB the best for now just BC of how the threads are organized but I could see FB replacing the function of the Randoms thread.

She has 19 threads started, all on O14 since January. She hasn't posted on our board since November 1. Maybe that's why she thinks she is a lurker.
