"A Kinsley gaffe occurs when a political gaffe reveals some truth that a politician did not intend to admit. The term comes from journalist Michael Kinsley, who said, "A gaffe is when a politician tells the truth – some obvious truth he isn't supposed to say."
That's what Wikipedia says. I always thought a Kinsley was a hipster.
I have seen Kinsley as a last name. I know some people use their maiden name in their kids' middle names as a way of preserving it. Maybe that's what's going on?
Ella is a fine name. Very popular but if that doesn't bother you go for it. I would say the same for Grace. It's lovely but Ella Grace is just SO common- I think every Ella I know is Ella Grace. Again, only you know if that bothers you or not.
I just can't get behind Kinsley, unless it's a family name- like, your maiden name, not a distant relative you've never met... It's trendy, sounds juvenile, and just has no meaning or history, IMO.
So of those choices I would go with Ella Grace, but my first choice would be to continue looking for a middle name.
Re: Which name should we choose? Ella Grace or Ella Kinsley?
