@Snuffy007 Have you pumped while in the bathtub? I'm just curious. I get so bored in a bath so I never take them.
H asked if I could do that! I haven't tried--yet I get bored with baths often, too. Last night I was almost too tired to be bored, and read a book while I was in the tub, which worked out well this time.
+1 for the Foscam. We put one in our living room to watch the dogs while we are away. We got it after our alarm went off when we were out of town and the alarm company couldn't confirm if there had been an actual break in. Now we can just take a peek on our iPhones when we need to. We got ours on Groupon for like $50 but it's worth it's weight in gold.
@Lilwatz Good for you girl! Now we need to arrange the same for the rest of us N14ers!
@smboswell1 I can't believe yall have to use separate rooms! I mean yall have a child together for goodness sake.
I just woke up from the first hour of sleep I've had in forever. Between my cold and this lo's cold we are a miserable pair. Thankfully we both seem to be on the upswing. Unfortunately, H went out last night and keeps telling me how tired he is, so I may have to beat his ass. Wish him luck.
@silverwings72 do you use the folded approach or gathered? I found the gathered to be easier. Also to make it more snug than I think when I'm wrapping and then LO fits perfectly. Here's are (finally!) successful wrap.
What do you mean by folded or gathered? I have no clue what I'm doing.
If I hear one more time that "you have to let babies cry" and that LO is "a spoiled little girl" (In response to me telling them that she still prefers to sleep in someone's arms) I might lose it on the ILs. She is not even 4 weeks yet!!!!
Is this a good or a bad idea? Addison loves horses. At the fair she always rides the pony and such and they offer to come to your hour for birthday parties. Is it a good idea for her birthday? Everyone is saying no because her birthday is in January. I think it would be cute but they say it's too cold.
@FhStar81 My family's horses were out during the winter and we would ride them. So I don't think its too cold for the ponies. It might be cold for the kids depending on what type of winter it ends up being. The farm girl in me so go for it, the kids just need snow suits worse case scenario. Little kids would love being able to ride a pony at a party and I'm sure Adddison would be over the moon.
DS has been cluster feeding so I've hardly slept the last two nights. My SIL just got into town today and is staying with us, so I haven't been able to nap. All I can think about is how I'm going to manage to stay up again tonight. I want to cry.
Thinking about tonight makes me want to cry too. LO has been napping on and off today thank god so I could have some moments of sanity, but now I'm just thinking that napping all day means awake all night :-( if I wake her up during her naps she is one cranky miss and just endlessly fusses, so yeah..I will just bite the bullet and let her sleep.
Add Isaac to the fussy cluster feeding wide awake baby club. DH just got home, going to attempt a nap but I am so hungry. Nothing tastes good that I can eat.
I miss having flavors in my food. Damn my mexican roots. Bland is not in our vocabulary.

I am getting this and my LO is 5 days old! How can he be spoiled?! He's not! And I'm not gunna let my newborn cry it out in a swing or pnp cause he would rather be in my arms. I'm there with ya!
@IndianaMommy08 - ah! Gotcha! I've been doing the folded. I got it ok today, but now I think Ive got him too high. My goal is to get it perfected by Friday when I have my work Xmas party.
So far my 5 day old can hold his head up and look around when laying on his stomach, almost rolled over this morning on our bed (if he didn't have socks on and a ginormous head I think he woulda gone over), and he's smiling in his sleep. It's the cutest thing ever (:
DH was watching LO while I worked on things for her baptism and he started yelling out of no where. It would seem she grabbed ahold of chest hair and was pulling on it. I of course found this hilarious.
DH also asked me if I was sure the d in DH didn't stand for dickhead and I replied with only on WTF Wednesday. At least this past week's Wed. thread.
LO is happiest when naked, no diaper! So I often let him be naked! I however end up with endless laundry because he pees on me several times a day. Right now I am sitting on one of the puppy pad things on my bed while I nurse my naked baby hoping he doesn't pee all over me again! I will do anything to make him happy! I just really don't want to wash my sheets again today

My LO HATES being naked! It's so funny how babies are all so different. her morning outfit change is a nightmare. I love how often you get peed on - but whatever makes him happy is so worth it.

I'm with you @CarrieAnne09. Our morning outfit changes you would think I had buttoned him in his onesie or something. He's most content when he's swaddled in his Velcro swaddleme all nice and warm
