See. I knew this would be fun! My LO is officially EFF, so I have no worries anymore, but all the feels about quitting BF. @PurpleHippo19 , your dairy restriction makes me feel for you....perhaps a little white grape vodka and sour raspberry liqueur mixed in with some cranberry juice instead?
I went to a work happy hour even though I'm still on mat leave. Had a glass of White Zin (because they didn't have any wine I really wanted) and 1/4 of a vodka tonic. It was nice to be in adult company other than my H!
I got strip steaks on sale today and DH and I opened up a nice bottle of red wine that we brought back from Napa a few years ago. Frank Family 2007 Cabernet, for anyone who cares. I'm 1.5 glasses in and a little buzzed.
Going on my third pour of iron horse Pinot noir...while nursing the baby. Before you judge too much, it's a small glass so a pour is only 2 ounces and it's been almost two hours.
You do you. No judgment here. You are obviously uber aware of the dos and don'ts re bf!
Finally got LO to sleep and remembered we have a few hard ciders left in the fridge. Drinking one now. Yummm. Has anyone tried Strongbow Honey Apple cider? It's DELICIOUS. Not what I'm drinking now though
I got wine drunk last weekend. 3 glasses and tested positive on those test strips. Thankfully the kid didn't wake up from her first long sleep early wanting to nurse. When she took the bottle I had more flexibility.
I'm pondering a drink tonight. I worry about trying to deal with a crying baby while buzzed. More annoying or less annoying?
Less annoying, definitely less annoying! I'm 2 drinks in on my Cranberry Rye and Gingers! If you like Rye and Ginger, definitely try Cranberry Gingerale (or ginger ale with a splash of cranberry juice).
Phew, parent visit survived!!!
Celebratory glass of wine?
I think so!!
(It's a Riesling, for those of you dying to know )
Glad you survived the parental visit!! Definitely calls for a(nother) glass of wine. I love Rieslings! There is a great Hogue Late Harvest Riesling here that makes me drool just thinking about it!
Thanks for the suggestions @crawford411 and @2goingon3, but sadly I don't have either. No worries though, I just asked DH to stop for oj on his way home.
I have to board an early flight solo with LO tomorrow morning or I'd be on the wine train with all you ladies. I may need to buy drinks for all of those sitting near me on the flight though if LO has any melt downs.
Trying to decide between wine and cider. I'm hoarding a specific cider that's only out for a few months, so opening one is a bit of an indulgence. Not sure I can finish a whole one tonight, so maybe wine?

I'm having an Oktoberfest beer I bought while pregnant while watching football. DH is dealing with screaming baby. I feel a little guilty. Just a little.

Edit typo.

@Kaylajade8911 I say you test that theory and then post about it...
@Cantisa I have never had a pear martini! Is this a recipe that you can share?
Really? I'm the lone beer drinker here tonight??

I feel like the eggnog might be ok....definitely not the Mountain Dew....the thought makes me nauseous....
Any jello kicking around? Shots!
