Pregnant exactly a year after losing my first

Almost to the day. Crazy.

Not sure what I am looking for here. I am just very happy but also very nervous. I am around 6 weeks now and I lost my last one at about 7 weeks. My doctor thinks I am plenty healthy enough for a good pregnancy despite the fact that I am obese but I must admit it is a concern I have.

Anyway I am having a hard time embracing this pregnancy. It does not feel real like it did last time. My husband is feeling the same I think. The first time he was all excited and started planning our lives right away and this time, he is glad but not really "getting into it". I wonder if at any point we will shake off this fog we seem to be in and realize and accept what is really happening.

And I just hope the little guy or girl makes it. My sister had four miscarriages until she finally (with hormone treatments) had her first son just two weeks ago! And it was the very day she gave birth that I had my first symptoms that told me I should take a test. Everyone thought I just had baby fever because of the birth but not so! haha

We, btw have had no medical intervention at this point. All natural.

I am happy, hopeful, unsure, and paranoid, and also very nervous about parenthood should we achieve it. So many emotions all rolled up. It is almost more than I can bear.

Ok, vent over, I guess. Maybe some encouragement, similar stories with happy outcomes maybe?

Congrats and Welcome! We are not getting really excited until we have the first U/S either. I think that is completely normal after a loss. DH and I continually whisper "bake baby bake" throughout the day.

Congrats! My dates are in my signature - my BFPs and EDDs were a year apart. It was tough early on because ultrasounds at the same gestational age were on almost the same days as a year before. But after I got past my loss date, and with each new milestone, things got easier for me. Wishing you a H&H pregnancy!

My "loss day" is on the 11th. Staying as cool as I can but I must admit I do a lot of "checking". Always a big sigh of relief when I see nothing there. Trying not to go crazy!

Congrats. My story is very similar. I'm newly pregnant almost exactly to the year of our last pregnancy that ended just before 8 wks. Scared shitless but trying to be excited. It's hard with PgAL brain not to worry about every single little thing. Good luck to both of us.

So far all is going well. I had my first US and everything looks good. I feel SOOO sick! Which sucks but I take it as a good sign that my hormones are being wacky in all the right ways. I cannot wait for the first trimester to be over. Hopefully I will get a break in the second.

Welcome and congrats. This baby is due a week (and a year) after when my first loss would have been born. It can be difficult making past milestones, but what has helped me is setting up small goals. Things like get to 8 weeks, see a heartbeat, get out of first tri, hear the heartbeat on the Doppler, etc.

That is what I am doing. I am a couple weeks past my loss date, and I have actually seen the heartbeat now. That was really cool. The technician was looking around and doing her thing without saying a word for so long I was starting to get nervous but finally she said, "Everything looks good". Then it looked like she was wrapping it up and i was like, "Can I see?". I thought that was strange that she didn't assume or ask that I wanted to see but either way I did get to see it finally. That was when I really started to accept there there really is a new life growing inside me and that is freaky cool.

Anyway just a few more weeks till the second tri and I cannot wait to get there.

It took me a very long time to convert from IF we have a baby in February, to WHEN we have a baby in February. Even now, it still makes me nervous to think about.
