A new favorite of mine is Cloverton's Christmas version of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" ...
Love this song

DE IVF #1 (4/26) BFN DE FET #1 (6/4) BFP! Beta 1=339 Beta 2=852 Beta 3=9957 EDD 2/22/15!!
Close Runner up: Baby it's cold outside (Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Jordan version).
WORST EVER: Maybe the Lady Antebellum rendition of Baby it's Cold Outside? I was introduced to that horror via letting spotify run after listening to the Ella Fitzgerald version.
I got the Hanson Christmas CD as a white elephant gift one year and it is my shameful favorite. Admittedly, I don't know that I have a song that I hate.
@cougarette ..a couple things. 1: I had never heard that PO stand up... 2: I felt that my coworker (60 year old woman) should have to be given all necessarily crap for liking said song, so I've read her every comment in support of that song being the worst. 3: SO... Based on YOUR recommendation we both just watched that to prove, without a doubt, that I am right and it's horrible.
I agree with all you ladies that Christmas Shoes sucks. But I'd also like to add Santa Claus is Coming to Town to the most hated list because it's just so darn creepy. "He sees you when you're sleeping, he knows when you're awake..." Like, calm down stalker Santa.
But I do love Greensleeves and most instrumental Christmas music. And my guilty pleasure is Bing Crosby's Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.
- all the oldies but goodies, like White Christmas
Worst:
- War is Over
We change the radio station EVEYR TIME that song comes on.
DH loves: anything by TransSiberian Orchestra. He makes me wait until Thanksgiving to listen to all other Christmas music, but during November we can listen to TSO an unlimited n umber of times. :-) He also cries when listening to some songs because of the stories behind them. I kid you not, real tears!
Now back to read everyone else's responses!
ETA: I like Little Drummer Boy! I consider that one of the oldies but goodies.

I'm going to go crawl into a hole now.

Hate: Feliz Navidad. It's like the song that never ends... And I can't ever get it out of my head. Bleh.
NO MORE HEARTBURN!
