I cared for like maybe the first half of my first pregnancy. I give zero fucks. I'm a fat lady with a hairy vag, and they just have to deal with it. Lol
I've always been this way and actually plan to get the pregnancy waxing before delivery. I know after a certain point I won't be able to bend but it'll be worth a shot.
I also bought a a bunch of new fun socks...grooming and socks are the only way to make a good impression in that position :-p
I always take my socks off bc I don't want to be naked and only wearing socks. But then I hate having sock lines on my legs. This causes so much anxiety lol. Maybe fun socks will be the answer!
I always take my socks off. I feel really self-conscious to have my undercarriage (thank you, Bridesmaids) waving in the breeze but have socks on. Weird? Perhaps. A guideline I will always follow? Absolutely.

I have been getting waxed for the last year or two, I plan to keep getting it done... but I'm a little nervous about how it will feel now that I'm pregnant. I've heard it's a little more tender, but I guess it hurts like a bitch anyway so what's a little more bitch when someone is ripping the hair out of your vag anyway?!
I lasered a few times and what a difference. All the money I put into waxing I should have put into laser a long time ago. It hurt like hell but it was worth it! No more sensitivity, bumps, cuts, in grown hair, or weird maneuvers that may cause a fall.
I would always shave before the gyno.
About how much was that... if you don't mind me asking? I have wanted to do that before obviously I'm going to have to wait.
I just renewed my waxing package. So much easier than shaving. I wore nice underwear and fun socks for my appointment. H said "this seems more like a first date rather then a drs appointment".
I've been using the same dr for 17 years. So I'm totally comfortable with her. Or so I thought. While down there she asked if I waxed. ">
If I shaved for the OB, DH would surely get jealous that he doesn't get the same treatment. So to be fair to all parties involved...No I do not. :-)

I call it the anniversary/gynecologist shave...because those are the only times I'm this thorough. I was kind of wondering when I can get lazy. I'm a nurse too and I always feel so stupid primping because I know they aren't looking at my grooming job at all
I am also a nurse so I know they don't really care. I have gone through phases. There was a time when I didn't shave or trim and now I have been doing it more regularly (well except for recently because I feel lazy ). My husband doesn't care one way or the other if I shave or not.
Oh, and when I say shave I mean I use Nair or Veet the hair removal creams. I have always been paranoid about cutting myself down there while shaving so I rarely use a razor. Plus as a nurse I have seen some nasty public infections from shaving accidents
I wish I could nair! I tried it once on my legs with the sensitive skin one and it tore me up, I looked like a burn victim.
And I'm terrified to wax down there especially with all the extra blood flow...but that really is the move if you can handle it.
This happened to me. It was horrific. Nazir and I don't get along. Even shaving there is really sensitive. I have the bikini line and neatly trim therest. Little embarrassing but comfort wins
I like it tidy but not bald. ..I have sensitive skin and it causes to much irritation. I tidy for my own personal liking not because I care what OB thinks. Shaved legs and pretty toes.
I do! If it makes you feel better, I had my first ultrasound appointment and had to do a vaginal one and my very old doctor managed to ask very loudly (in front of the incredibly hunky nurse and my bf) if that was a 'down there' and then started asking the most awkward questions! Lol.

That is awkward. For my own and my DH's own comfort I have always requested all females. The ob group that my doctor is in is all women including nurses. I understand and respect the medical field but I feel like if I'm going to have my feet up in stirrups, I should at least be able to decide who is there looking and touching.
I def do too! I shaved all the bits up for our u/s earlier this week bc I thought it would be a transvaginal. Turns out she could see everything just fine by doing the reg u/s on my belly! Bah! I shaved for nothing.
First came love, then came marriage - Oct 31, 09 Then came a miscarriage March '11 Then came a baby in the baby carriage May 16, 12
Before my first appointment, I shaved like a, mad women. Get to the OB...she decided to wait until my 10 week appointment to do an exam. WTF? I told her, "but I shaved for you!" She said "you did? Thank you!" It was hilarious
I'm in the 'don't care' category; they've seen it all, I'm sure. DH has told me before that, and I quote, "I don't shave it, why should I care if you do?" so I rarely shave even my legs at all anymore.... just if I am wearing a short dress without hose or something.
I absolutely do! And to make it oh so rewarding... My ob said to my with my last baby 'oh it's you! You're always so tidy for me don't always have this kind of treat!'
She's a lady, not a Pervy guy lol, but made me feel like my yoga-poses-to-reach-everywhere were so worth it!
Vaginas are their job so I'm pretty sure most don't think twice about seeing one in its natural state. I think it's more about whatever makes you feel comfortable and how you usually prefer to groom.
Re: Shaving for the OB
See, this is why I love the bump. Maybe snarky, but always informative!
