I've been reading up on how important it is to keep strong abs and core muscles throughout pregnancy... I was wondering what abdominal exercises people still do after the 1st trimester?
I have been doing yoga, so I end up doing some time in plank as some of my abwork. I also do standing side bends, so one hand on my hip the other arm straight with or without a weight. I bend towards the hand on my hip. I also do standing jackknife's, pulling my bellybutton to my spine arms above my head, coming down to reach toward one of my straight legs that I'm bringing up. It was from fitness magazine, a few years ago. You can also just bend forward while seated as long as you keep your focus on engaging your core.
