Lower back pain?

FTM, 18 weeks tomorrow and I have been experiencing some dull aches in my lower back the past couple of days. Nothing too severe and then sometimes it's on and off aches. I've also notice an increase in discharge but not like peeing in my pants wet or anything. (Sorry, tmi) just wondering if it was normal timing for me to feel back aches, thought it usually occurs later in pregnancy. Other than that, I feel great. Started feeling a few squirms in lower belly so I'm hoping I'm stating to feel my little one :)

    Yes back pain is very normal starting in the second trimester.

    It can totally depend on where you placenta is. That is why I have sciatica and back pain.

    I've been experiencing some pretty awesome low back pain in the past few weeks, it doesn't feel muscular, more mechanical. I am definitely going to get back to seeing a chiropractor regularly, I just found one that specializes in prenatal care so I'm hoping he can help!

    Thank you ladies for the replies! Makes me feel a whole lot better :) heating pad is being bought now!

    I have been having lower back pain for the past 2 weeks or so (I'm almost 18w). I would be careful with a heating pad (@T1green) , I *think* it's ok if it's not directly on your abdomen but some doctors caution using a heating pad during pregnancy, which sucks because I think that would feel so nice right about now.
