Their* bellies, and you cannot prevent stretch marks, they are genetic. Also, the post you just commented on for NatureLovers being in L&D; she had her baby. May want to read the comments before just firing one off yourself.
@elleswarth Wow. For the record I don't have any. That's y I was getting a heads up on prevention of them. I don't know why your looking to bully people on this "forum" but I feel sry for your future to child to have u as a mother.

Incorrect usage of "there" & "your", name calling, throwing out the "you're a bully card" AND feeling sorry for future child (and that's just this post) Wow! Bye. Just bye.
What is with y'all and spell check? Everyone uses acronyms all the time on this app anyways. So get over it. It's kinda weird how I'm being attacked by u assholes when all I did was start a blog bc I had a question. Just forget it.
@lilydolce they showed up on my friend in her last week of pregnancy. I still have 5 wks to go:/ but then she used emu oil(which I had never heard of before, lol) and they are almost gone and her c section scar looks great too. She gave birth 4 1/2 months ago. Idk if anyone else has evr heard of this emu oil?.. or how safe and wide tested it is but it's working for her dramatically.

So early for this! OP, I used all kinds of cream with my first pregnancy and still got stretch marks. So good for you for having good genetics. Trust me, it wasn't because of any of your creams. (And for the record, I love my stretch marks. They're imperfect, like me)
I originally didn't open this thread because stretch marks *yawn*, but it was more entertaining than I thought.
@ExcitedMama2, I may try that with the diaper rash cream - it can't hurt! We got a few tubes as gifts for DS, but he has never had bad diaper rash (knock on wood), so I might as well use them for something.
hmmmm....maybe i'll actually have a use for that giant tub of desitin i still have from DS. lol

Ladies ladies.. My bad. This was my first post on here. First off I certainly was not calling everyone on here assholes( but there seems to be quite a few) it was directed at the first replies.. I didn't spell out bitch bc I didn't know u could cuss on here without getting flagged or kicked out of the app. And finally this Emu oil is the real deal. It has a whole bunch of remedies including healing of scars. And no I don't want to join in a mass slaughtering of emus for it. But also to be noted she didn't use it till after her pregnancy and breastfeeding bc it wasn't tested on pregnant women but other than that her dr said it's safe.
You're talking about two different things. 1) Preventing stretch marks from happening - You can't 2) Healing/fading already existing stretch marks and scars - You'll find a lot of products marketed for this. They might work, they might not. What works for one person's skin doesn't necessarily work for another's.

I should have opened this this AM, but thought the title was ridiculous and another genius was spouting some magic ointment. Damn. That was funny.

I don no bout y'all but 'round these parts we'se learn how 2 rite the different 'there/their/they're' and 'your/you're' in the 4th grade. Cusins Bill and Sue is gettin' hitched 2marrow. Yee-haw. I ain't ben 2 a good shotgun weddin' in awhiles. Ima drink all the moonshine.
If you're going to get them there is nothing to do to prevent then -- kinda like a perineal tear during labor. Some people have success with 'preventing' them. Mostly because of their genetics and not because of emu oil.
I used emu oil on scars. My mom told me it was just named Emu oil and I believed her. Whyyyy mom, why? It doesn't work. Neither does vitamin c oil.
And nobody is going to take kindly to you calling one of our regs a bitch when she suggested you use proper spelling. TB lexicon is for long words and phrases, not misspellings.
I'm feeling giving. I'm in a good mood after eating my first lunch of the day. I'll bite.
I'm using Burt's Bees Mama Bee Belly Butter. At first, I swore it helped with stretchmarks. These days, I could care less if it helps or not: I just need to stop being so itchy. It definitely does help with itchiness, more than my regular lotion.
I haven't ventured into coconut oil because I dislike coconut as a smell and taste. Emu oil sounds...interesting. Now I'm interested to know where one even gets emu oil...is it a thing? Do people buy it? Should I be concerned about there being a run on emu oil now?

jan'15 january siggy challenge: baby fails
Have you tried chicken fat or bacon grease?
I think I'm going to go with coconut oil and diaper rash cream.
