Boy names! Please!

Hey everyone! My bf and I are having a hard time figuring out names we like! We are much more picky with boy named than we were with girls, so of course we're having a boy. The only names I have liked so far are Ayden, Noah, Liam, and Mason. My bf hates all of those! The only name he likes is Avery. Which I do not. When I look at boy names I feel like I've seen them all! Please comment with any names you like! Thank you

  • No offense op but all of those names are NMS, they're super trendy and overdone in my opinion. I'll admit I used to like Mason a lot until I realized how common it is. I agree that boys names are difficult, before I knew I was having another girl I struggled thinking up boys names so good luck;)

  • Well that's why I asked for name suggestions. I wanted more unique ideas that other people like and have come across that maybe I haven't. Boys are definitely harder to name for me. We had a name we loved for a girl =/

I don't need links to what I can see on the first page of a Google search. I also don't need rude comments.

    Name suggestions please.

    Thank you.

  • Sorry, I didn't know asking in a different place was going to get me such ridiculous rude responses. Thanks for the last website.
  • I haven't contributed to this board so you don't want to help me? Seriously? This isn't politics. I haven't used any pregnancy apps I have much. I JUST started looking at these boards a week ago!

I wasn't saying the names had to be just like those or completely different from those. We don't really have a direction in which we want the name to be like. I was only sharing names I liked. I didn't think it was a big deal. I just figured people would say boy names they liked. Thats all I asked.

I will definitely not post here again. Sorry I disrupted your serious community!
  • Nymbler is a good suggestion.  Also, all the names you like are in the top 20 with some variation of those spellings, so you might want to go to https://www.socialsecurity.gov/oact/babynames/ and look at the top 500 or 1000 names under "Popular Names by Birth Year" to get an idea of what's less common.  I agree that you really haven't given us much to go on, besides more unusual, which could mean anything.  Do you like classic names?  Edgy names?  Surname-y names?  Biblical names?  Do you want your child's name to have any meaning or significance, and if so, what is it?  Take a minute to think about what you're looking for and it will help you and help the rest of us help you too.

  • I'm not butt hurt I'm baffled as to wjat the big deal is. I didn't ask for everyone to know everything about me and name my son. I wanted suggestions of names other people I don't know and who don't know me like. I've seen websites of tons of names and I've had people close to me give suggestions. I want something different that I didn't see or think of. The problem is, I don't know what I want to name him. There isn't a specific direction I was trying to go in. That's why I didn't give more input. And I didn't go to the name board because they're usually the same five chicks saying the same ten names to everyone who posts.

  • OP -- Try Nameberry -- they have some really great lists here
  • You realize there are thousands of fucking names out there. You list like the current top 10 boy names as your style so it would lead us to assume you only like popular, trendy names that there will be 5 of in your sons classes.

Try the top 20 boy names then. Idk what to tell you
  • Buzz! Name him Buzz.

  • I can't believe how rude ppl on here can be. All u asked for was opinions on names or suggestions and ppl r freaking out on u geez!! I'm a mother of 3 boys with my fourth baby boy in the way. I say chose a name that you love even if it is common ,So what!! Back when our grandparents were kids it seems like there were a total of ten names for boys and ten for girls . So there are tons of johns and michaels out there. Basically what I mean is it u love a name and you know it's something you'll still love in ten years then go for it. It's your baby so whatever you and ur bf choose will be fine , I'm sure the two of u will come to a happy medium at some point. Best of luck
  • Avery, while I know is gender neutral, totally sounds like a girl name. Two of my biggest pain in the ass students were Liam and Aiden (I just can't even with the weird spelling Ayden). Give me choices and I will vote, but my brain isn't into generating ideas tonight. I can't even decide what I want to eat.
  • Here is a serious suggestion. This is what My husband and I do. We use the app cozi for grocery lists, to do lists, and our calendar because we can both see it and update it. In the grocery list section we have a list for baby names. When we see or hear something we like we add it and of the other one doesn't like it they can cross it off. We don't delete anything so the other doesn't keep adding it back.

I actually go out of my way to try not to be mean or rude, but your spelling fucking kills me. That is all. Have a wonderful evening.
  • If she likes the names then sure I'm serious, as for myself I'm just a huge Soa fan and these names are appealing to me lol
  • It's called using a cellphone where half the shit gets autocorrected . Excuse me if a few things are misspelled in the process. Sorry you felt the need to comment on that.

Well since you felt the need to bitch everyone else out I figured I would return the favor. Don't mess with my girls, who are actually super supportive. As for the spelling I was talking about the use of u and ppl.

  • Lmao on blaming autocorrect for your god awful spelling and grammar. Maybe bring your phone in to get looked at if it's correcting people to "ppl"
  • Some of the "legit" name responses in this thread are fucking killing me. In people's attempt to give their kid a "cool" name, these poor boys are going to outgrow these ridiculous trendy names.
I don't know what you're talking about... Hircismus, Baculum, Irrumatio and Olisbos are timelessly classy and no one will ever outgrow them.
