Pampers swaddlers are the best IMO. I've also tried Costco brand, Target brand and Huggies. No major complaints with any of them, except for we had a lot of blowouts in the Costco diapers.
@lana22 we figured it out to be about the same cost. We were using Pampers before and with the monthly shipment you get diapers and wipes and like I had said in my previous post the monthly shipment lasts us about a month and a half. Plus with convenience of it coming to my home for free was way worth it! I feel like I need to work for them as much as I advocate for them or get a kick back lol.

We alternated between Huggies little snugglers and Pampers swaddlers, depending on what fit best at the time. Recently, we tried Costco's Kirkland diapers, and they seem good, too, but I'll probably stick with Huggies and Pampers for this lo until he's a bit bigger.
I didn't like Pamper's baby dry or Luv's.
Our hospital used Pampers swaddlers, but they only had size 1's, and they were big on DD. It was a pain, too, because they were long and didn't have an umbilical cord cutout. They did send us home with some, but the nb's worked a lot better initially.
We used cloth 95% of the time. For the other 5%, we went with the cheap ones. Up & Up target diapers are awesome! For newborn days, we used pampers because that's what was gifted to us and we liked them.

I am pregnant with number 2, but have a 2 1/2 year old daughter - I love Honest company. And they're very convenient. But definitely Pampers if you're tight and can't wait for the shipping. And honestly, i wouldn't invest in A LOT of newborn sizes. It really depends how big your baby is, whether you happen to have a premature baby, or a bigger baby. But if you're a low risk pregnancy and you're going for full term, i would definitely invest in the size 1. Size 1 will be one of the longer sizes you'll be in for a newborn. Size 1 and 2 my daughter was in what felt like forever. And Pampers or Honest !
I just got my first shipment of Honest diapers in the mail. After reading this I think I made a mistake in getting all newborn size. X_X I guess being a FTM I need to get used to the live and you learn moments.
@caitylady12 if you have classified boards on facebook I have been able to sell extras on those boards pretty quickly for a decent price. Maybe try that route if your baby doesn't end up using them all.

This really depends on the baby. With my first, we tried Huggies, Pampers, Off-Brand, etc., and the only ones that didn't leak were Pampers. With my second, we started with Pampers and never had a problem, so we just kept using them. We'll start with Pampers this time, too, but if we have problems with leakage or rashes, we're ok with switching it up. I have friends who swear by Huggies or LUVs - just depends on the baby, their shape and their skin sensitivity.
Most stores will take unopened packages back for store credit, so if you find a brand that doesn't work, and you have a few boxes, just take them back to the store and tell them you need a different brand. As for the opened packages, the local women's shelter or pregnancy center can take them as a donation.
